Help with insurance query for unofficial mother and toddler meetups

So we have an official toddler group which meets during termtime in a local hall. Cost £1.50 p/w and we're covered by the usual insurance.

But lot of the mums have non=school kids and want to keep meeting up in the park for the summer.

So we've suggested that we meet up in the park, we'll bring snacks and charge a fiver for the whole summer (to cover snacks)
But what about insurance? We're in a public place but we'll have a few games etc.

Any thoughts anyone?

I have no idea if this is true, but my gut feeling is that if you don't charge for the snacks (perhaps take a donation or simply let people bring their own) then you will effectively be no more than people meeting in the park, so won't need insurance.

Tell them to bring there own snacks, don't charge anything. Friends meetingin the park - no problem.
