Hi,

This is my first post, just discovered this website as I have just found out I am pregnant again with my 3rd child. I have a 2 ds, one just turned 4 and another 18 months. We pondered on having a 3rd but it was just chat as a lot of my younger friends are now having babies and I have never felt finished. But I did not expect it to happen so soon and feel as I have had the decision made for me. I am feeling very nervous at he moment and have moments of happiness as I get very excited at another little ds/dd coming into our family but I am also getting overwhelming scary feelings like 'what have I done' what about my kids' can we afford it etc am I going to feel like this till the arrival

I felt the same with my 3rd, Congratulations BTW

Once I got used to the idea and worked out where I was going to put him it was actually the best pregnancy in many ways

Your kids will be fine You will afford no3 somehow and everything will be fabulous. You will be fine.

Enjoy your pregnancy as much as possible, and mn as much as poss too

congratulations!and welcome to mn!

my third was easiest pregnancy, easiest birth(although all 3 cs,he was by far easiest to recover from even with damaged bladder etc),easiest baby. i felt more confident with 3rd i think!i knew what i was doing by then(or so i thought!)

Congratulations!

Me and my husband have decided that we would like to have a third, but we are waiting until next year to start trying because our lease is up in June and we will have to move then. I have never felt 'finished' either. I had DS at 21 and DD at 22. I knew I wanted more and probably would have had more before now if DH had also wanted to. He has now come around (believe it or not, of his own will. No badgering involved) I am nervous about such a big age gap. DS is 6 1/2 and DD 5. By the time we start trying and then actually have DC #3 DS will be at least 8 and DD almost 7 - I feel like I'll have had them in 'sittings' LOL

Congatulations mummymoodie!

I am in the same position. Got positive test on xmas eve with 3rd DC. I have 2 DSs aged 4 and 16 months. They'll be 5 and 22 months when this one comes along.

All completely unplanned, in fact, I took morning after pill but I guess this baby had other ideas! We've just started getting excited and as my doctor said when I saw him yesterday, 'Life is probably mad enough with two, what difference is three going to make?' (He has four!)

I completely understand your worries about practicalities. My car is tiny and it's a struggle with 2 car seats and pram in. So we'll have to get something bigger. We were going to try and move house in 2010 and now that is more pressing. And I'm not working... But I figure that we'll get by. Might have to go without certain things and adjust our expectations for then next few years but we'll have 3 lovely DCs to show for it.

Don't worry, it'll be fine! And fun!

My third is now 17 months, DD1 was almost 4 and DD2 2 1/2 when she came along. She is an utter delight and although it's hard work with 3 she more than makes up for it, the older two adore her and she is one of the reasons I am now having DB4!

We got a bigger car and are having an extension built but the older two love sharing now and probably will even if we have the space for them to have their own rooms.
