How much are you spending on fruit for your lot?

Checking the recent £70 bill, nearly 20 quid of this is fruit!!

We won't shop again until Saturday and so far we have one banana (hidden), 3 satsumas 2 kiwi's, 4 apples left and 1 pear left.

I think they're taking this healthy eating to silly levels- they've been learning about 5 pieces and maybe taking it to literally mean 5 pieces of fruit alone a day.

We get healthy start vouchers so they pay for our fruit, veg and milk. But fruit and veg must clock up a good £40 month.

what are those vouchers?

You can get healthy start vouchers if you're on income support or earn less than £15,000 a year. Helpful if you're under 18 and pregnant as well apparently.

Not a larger family, but my boys eat 4 apples a day each and around the same in carrots. Fortunately one doesn't like bananas, and I've banned kiwis and satsumas as they go too quickly. Sainsbury's do a brilliant economy apple - Jonagold - which saves us a fortune at 54p/kilo and they do good large bags of economy oranges too

I spend about £20-30 a week on fruit plus 4 off them at school have 10p a day fruit money .

I love my local market - more fruit and veg than I can carry for £20 and they eat it all! Wish I could put it away like they do.
