cos I really can;t!

I cook for so many, all the time, that I seem to have forgotten how to cook for just one person (ie, when DH goes out and I want to cook something that I know the children won;t enjoy).

How do I work it out?? I always seem to do twice as much, even tho I try to really be aware of what I am chopping up/measuring out.

Am I destined to always over-cook seeing as I have been an 'owl' for so long

Make a determined effort to keep your quantities of ingredients small.
(If it's only for one person, they should all fit in a single bowl before being cooked etc.)
If you end up with more than you need, you can always freeze some or put it in the fridge for lunch the next day etc.

Freeze what's left over then it's handy for a night you don't fancy cooking.

ok, will do the freezing thing. makes sense really (cannot think why I didn;t think of it myself), so I will just make as normal rather than change me, and it means I have meals ready then!
