Hotel rooms for family of 5

Hi,

I am looking for recommendations of hotel chains that have rooms that can accommodate 2 adults and 3 children in one room. Absolutely does not need to be high end, it’s for stop overs / staying close to, but not with, family in various locations in UK. Hence looking for chains rather than independent establishments.

Are there any?

Thank you in advance.

Could you do two interconnecting rooms? Either one child in with you on a sofa bed and the other two in a twin, or the 3 kids in together?

We have three and this is what we do.

Thanks - they are still tiny (babies/preschooler) and obviously 2 rooms bumps up cost as well.

Yep Premier Inn. The policy used to be 3rd child allowed if under 2 & in a cot. They're mostly self check in now & no one is checking. I booked in many families of 5 when I worked there.

Definitely premier inn when you have one that can fit in a travel cot. The breakfast is also great value as kids are free.

for when the kids are older this blog has a list of premier inns with interconnected rooms but you have to call to book https://bigfamilylittleadventures.co.uk/

Some hotels have what they call executive rooms which essentially have a lounge which is converted to a second bedroom but only one front door, definitely worth checking for once the youngest doesn’t fit in a cot because most hotel chains officially won’t allow a 3rd child once they are over 2 or 3.
