I'm so worried about how my child no 2 will learn the way child no1 did

Dd1 is so smart for her age (2)
I taught her tooo much and she's amazing

I'm worried I won't be able to do that with dd2 (4 months old at the moment )

I'm scared that she'll be overwhelmed by her sister And not get a chance to learn the way dd1 did

Dd2 will benefit massively from having a sibling. Don’t worry. Children tent to even out in terms of their development as they get older anyway. My eldest child was slow to talk and spent most of primary school in a daze. He blossomed academically at secondary school and ended up with amazing gcse results. I think it’s best to give them lots of positive attention when they need it and let them develop at their own pace

They will learn from their sibling and from being in an environment where there is more going on.

I felt a little the same in some ways, but they catch up and you end up talking to them together. The younger children grow up listening to what the older children are learning. My dc4 is the cleverest (academically) of all my children, helped in part by the fact that conversations/books/games were actively used by older sibs.

Omg ladies thanks soooo much I totally thought it was a stupid question & it helps so much ..., you know when you have your first and ( in your mothering opinion) you feel you've created a mini genius .... I was so worried about dd2 getting the same treatment as I'm
Totally exhausted ha ha

I have three and same as @imip my third is listening and watching homework being done and actually played "do my ho work" the other day. There's a lot more happening in the house to entertain them and interest them.

Only differences in learning ours have had has been the 1st potty trained and talked earlier. I worked until she was 4.5 and she went to private nursery until starting reception, the younger ones I was a sahm. Bigger 5 all excell at school and the older ones help the younger ones, often find them playing schools. Baby is only 3mth, the bigger ones will read books to her and you can see she is desperate to be mobile with them already.
