Feeling anxious and self-conscious

Hi I'm a first time mum of a 7 month old who's EBF. We do not have many get togethers due to Covid, however every week or so we tend to get together at my in-laws. My MIL is dominant so meetups etc are all where and how she wants it which is usually at theirs followed by dinner too. Now second daughterinlaw is 5 months pregnant. For my fatherinlaws birthday we got together for dinner. My sisinlaw had volunteered to make a cake which I didn't know about until it was decided. Motherinlaw wanted her to bake a cake anyway. I offered help for dinner but was refused. All okay. I understand that as I hadn't contributed food wise I should atleast help with cleaning up after dinner. I always have done this during my pregnancy too. I also understand that I should give my pregnant sisterinlaw a rest from doing the dishes, but during dinner my 7 month old became fussy and so I quickly ate and went to feed him. This has happened a few times in the past but I've never had any bad intentions or deliberately taken my time just so pregnant SIL has to do it. But when it happened at the bday dinner and my SIL went to do the dishes, MIL told her to wait until we have had cake. It was at this point when I had to change a nappy. I returned quickly and the dishes were piled up for me to do. I started right away and was not told to wait until cake. I've always done the dishes as I usually eat before anyone else. I never deliberately have intentions to 'cop out' and I'm fine with it. I totally understand. It was just the way it was said. Now I feel self conscious and like maybe I should think about the timings I go to feed my son and I am thinking of expressing and taking a bottle from now onwards. I just feel soo bad and feel judged by brotherinlaw and sisinlaw.

A guest with a baby... Not the hired help...
Tell dh to suggest to his dm she gets a plug in dishwasher instead of expecting others to wash up..

And where were all the men in this situation?I'd go further than that and just tell dh to make a start! What's going on at all? Why are all the women, pregnant and with babies at their breast all expected to do all the serving cooking preparing and clearing up? Wow, are we in the 1950's? Seriously if you get called away to look after your baby then somebody else needs to be supportive to that and muck in rather than judging you?
