Talk to me about bigger age gaps...

DS will be 4 in May. We are thinking of trying for another baby at the end of the year, meaning even if it happens right away the age gap would be 5 years plus.
All of my friends have age gaps of 2/3 years and keep telling me to hurry up as 'you don't want a big gap between them'
Can people of DC with bigger age gaps talk to me about how they find it please.
Are the two DC close?
Was it harder having an older DC when second baby came along or easier?
Did you find it hard going back to the 'baby stage' after so long or easier because you knew what to expect?
Thank you

Almost 5 between DD1 and DD2 - they played together for the first couple of years and then DD1 HATED her annoying little sis for around 10 years 😂 both teens now and are becoming really close (so so lovely to see) I also have a huge gap of 12 years between DD2 and baby DS. They both adore him and I imagine they’ll mother him to death the older he gets.

There were three years between my older sis and then also my younger brother. None of us got on so I don’t think the gap matters really. We’re close now and that’s all you can hope for

5 year gap between Ds1 & 2, it was easier as ds1 was at school and more self sufficient but I found being stuck to school run hard work with a baby.

They were ok for a couple of years but now eldest is 14 they really spend most of their time winding each other up. Also we find if hard to do family things that they will both enjoy. Things like a walk In a forest or park is ok but paid attractions or family films can be hard work.
