Hi all

Hope everyone is doing well under the current cirtumstances. Just wondered what things you and your families are doing to pass the days after the kids have finished their school work?
Im a keyworker so still going to work so life doesnt really feel that different to us, just feels like the holidays with school work thrown in. We are social distancing and to be honest the kids dont even want to go out for walks knowing whats happening i need to walk the dogs so go along and over to the fields that noone else really use. I know soon tho the kids will go stir crazy so looking for other ideas on how to keep everyone relatively happy.

Family film nights all choose a different film each put the titles in a jar pull out 1 each night to watch together.

Make cards pictures paintings to send to grandparents or other family they might be missing.
I've also not been restricting screen time or game time my middle ds thinks its great hes unlimited access to his ps4 after some school work has been done.

4dc here. Friday night is family movie night and Saturday is box set night. We are watching The Durrells next. 2 of our DC have autism, so we are pretty routine based, even through term holidays. Weekends will be free time. I’m working tidying up into the new routine!

I’m thinking about getting Disney+

It's actually been fine up to now. We have a pretty decent sized house so they can escape each other also I've never been so grateful for a big garden.

I think it's easier having a larger family during lockdown, so long as you have enough space and ideally a bit of outdoor space. I have 4 and I think it's been great for their relationship with each other - they spend most of their time together building lego/ in the sandpit/sitting in cardboard boxes playing imaginary games. It's actually not too bad - all I have to do is keep the food coming and make them do a bit of tidying up from time to time.
