Last I’d hear do heard they hadn’t even written the software for it to include more than two children! Don’t know anyone personally that receives it for more than two, everyone round here with more than two is on tax credits.

OK thank you very much. I did read somewhere just now that it isn't coming in till Feb 2019.
It puts my mind at ease especially while on summer break from uni and wanting to get a job, need to buy 5 lots of uniforms haha. ( I know a lot of people who have been messed about by it so was worried about the transfer over)

Can't go on it at the moment with 3 kids or more.

MrSpock · 03/08/2018 19:59

You can get it for more than two if your third is a twin.

Can't go on it with 3 kids or more at the moment, the systems aren't set up to cope with more than 2, they are planning to fix the system by February 2019, with new claimants/change of circumstances claiming it from then.

Roll out of transfer to UC from people on existing benefits is from July 2019 to 2023. Apparently.

MrSpock · 03/08/2018 20:09

We get UC instead of tax credits. What happens when our twins are born? I was under the impression that UC would replace the child tax credits?

Babyroobs · 26/08/2018 15:11

Some people with 3 or more kids are on it and if you have two and then have a third you will stay on it. However you cannot currently make a new claim if you have more than two children. Once you are on UC there is no going back to legacy benefits.

Babyroobs · 26/08/2018 15:13

MrSpock - When your twins are born you will just start getting the child element of UC for each baby which will obviously increase your overall UC entitlement. if you went on to have a third child then you would not got a child element for a third child. I think because your babies will be born after April 2017 you will get child element of £231.67 for each added onto your Uc entitlement.

After two they don't pay nothing more. The whole system is a load of shite! Worst idea in the world.

Wish we could go back and not have it.

The people, the whole system. The money taking, never paying the right amount, it can differ each month. Honestly a joke.

Babyroobs · 26/08/2018 18:42

It does seem to have a lot of problems. People with variable income or where 2 pay days fall within he assessment period seem to suffer. Then again there were a lot of problems with tax credits with people getting stung for huge overpayments because it was worked out over the year. the two child cap exists on tax credits too.
