We have had a lapse in contraception this month, part stupidity and part choice if we're honest. We already have 4 children aged 2-9 and both work, DH full time and I part time. We can afford another baby, though we had said we wouldn't have one. Now that the possibility is here (I haven't tested yet but I'm a planner so I like to have an idea of whether it's workable or not) I don't know if we could/should go ahead.
Pros -
Can fit one in
Can afford
Can take mat leave/pay
Don't find 4 too difficult (yet)
Love squishy babies
Maternity leave (yay)!
Cons -
Just leaving the baby age and like the idea of a 'next chapter,' after babies!
DH not keen
Would be judged by every fucker imaginable.
Could impact on career long term.
So.. Is a fifth mental or not?
