Going for a third baby after so many problems with previous pregnancies

Me and Dh would love to have a third baby however I'm scared. I've had 3 miscarriages prior to having my first baby. During that pregnancy I had to take cyclogest a progesterone, low dose aspirin and high folic acid and multiple scans. Pregnancy however was lovely and labour quick and easy. We then tried for our second without any of the drugs and unfortunately it ended in an ectopic. I was given methrotrexate and didn't lose a tube. I moved county and managed to persuade my new doctor to prescribe me the drugs I used in my first pregnancy if I became pregnant. I got pregnant and the drugs worked but I had heavy bleeding through out with no explanation for it. Healthy normal quick delivery at home. So, do I go for it again with always that worry I might have another ectopic and also that I will have to persuade another doctor ( male this time) to prescribe the same drugs (mine has gone from the practice). Or do I just thank my lucky stars I got through the last two pregnancies relatively unscathed. Am so torn!

Op, my first pregnancy ended in the still birth of a much longed-for daughter, after 18 months of infertility.

I went on to have a further 4 children. Each pregnancy was high risk. I needed a cervical stitch, ultimately had a c-section for all 4. With different pregnancies I also had restricted blood flow to the placenta (only in one pregnancy) and placenta previa. I had HG for all pregnancies for the full pregnancy.

I think in my circumstances, the sadness of losing my first child meant that I could endure the risk of further pregnancies. I knew what the worst thing that could happen would be, but the risk of not having a child was even sadder. Not sure if that makes sense, but I look back in amazement now that I endured 5 complicated pregnancies, and the loss of my first child in only 6 years and 20 days. I was constantly worried, but something 'stronger' drove me through it, I guess the goal of ultimately having a large happy family.

Definitely how much you want it.

Ectopic pregnancy is in itself a risk, however with early scans etc it's limited. It seems you managed your last pg well, so I'd be more inclined to go with it. Not escalating symptoms dramatically.
I have 4 dc. Aph dc1.. Survived.. Dc2 diagnosed ante natal with abnormal brain development, emlscs, post op wound infection. Dc3.. Pregnancy induced labile bp, elective lscs, small pph. Dc4.. Good pregnancy, elective lscs, big pph, wound infection, fat necrosis... No more shops shut. Next pph could be catastrophic.
