going in holiday

As a single mum of five young children. 9, 8, 6, 2, 1 i havent been on holiday for three years and this year ive decided on rsducal idea to take kids away in two groups. Same place consecutive weeks. But I want to be able to take them to the pool and di activities together with older ones that I could not do with five on my own.
But it does feel weird and I don't know of anyone else who does this.
Am u wrong not to do proper holiday together?

I'm not a single parent but I often take my children on holiday separately. They attend 3 different schools with different holiday dates at times. They all have different interests too. We do have an annual family holiday, with DH, but I have no problem with taking 1, 2 or 3 of them away by myself.
Considering the ages of your children, I'd actually consider just taking the 3 oldest. The younger ones won't know that they're missing out.

Hi, i'm not a single parent but last march we took our older daughter's to disneyland paris (7&5 at the time, coming up to there birthdays) we left our younger daughters (just turned 3 and 1 at the time) with my mum. although it was lovely to spend time with our older girls the only thing I would warn you about is the guilt and how much you will miss them. I found it spoilt the holiday for me not being with all my children although I know it would of been hard and they wouldnt of remembered it. sorry I cant offer any more advice x
