Having a 4th child any different from 3?

Ok so I have 3 DC. DS 10, DS 5 & DD 4. Just had my implant out Yesterday and decided to try and conceive a 4th child. Was just wondering how different is it going from 3 DC to DC?
Also anyone got similar age gaps and if so how do they all get on?

Am waiting to hear on this as we have three and I'm debating trying for another this summer once ds turns one...

Come on mothers of four is it really much different to three?

Yes, I think it is different to three. We've found it hardener, but ours were closer together.

What I find though is that we are a bit of a focal point, because we have 4 young dds and people always comment on it.

My age gaps are different to yours though op, and I would say a 10yo would be quite helpful. 5 and 4 yo are what I know better and mine tend to love being big sisters, like helping; but also do get frustrated - want more of me, but I am with the younger ones. My oldest is 7 and my youngest just turned two.

Like I said it is harder, ESP. When I am on my own during the week. Dh works long hours and we think dd2 may have aspergers. That's been particularly hard. However, if I wanted 4dcs, really wanted four as the magic number (it was for me, nice and symmetrical, I'm fond of an even number), then I would still do it Smile

cheers imip.

My DH is a fulltime dad I work full time. I'm turning 30 next month and think if I'm going to have the forth baby I should do it sooner rather than later.

We have just enough room and already have the 7 seater. My DD will be going school soon and I feel like I have no more babies left. So would like some one to fill that gap.

I thought about a forth baby last year and bought another puppie. Really don't want another dog lol.

The downfalls are will my children get all the attention they need?
My social life will become completely non existence (however this is true now)
With the age gaps will they all get on?
What happens if the forth child is ill, will this take all the attention away from my other children.

However these are the same questions I had when moving from 2-3.

I think I have already talked my self into having a forth and had a little fun trying last night.

Bring on more sleepless nights, cluttered house, fights & laughters.

God Help!!!!!

well, you'll be doing the school run for a bit longer.

Hiding how does your 10yr old get on with the two younger ones?

I'd love another one too, sometimes, there's no way we can but I console myself with the fact that if I did it now, the age gap would be too big and the youngest one would be left out. (I know this wouldn't necessarily be true, but it helps me to think that, iyswim.)

I have a big gap between DC1 and DC2 I think it works quite well that way around. DC1 is more than happy to be off doing things independently, so doesn't feel 'left out;' whereas I tell myself if that gap were between the two youngest ones, with the older ones being closer in age, the youngest one would be looking on on the others being a little unit, and would almost certainly feel that he/she wasn't a part of it.

Just read that back...what am I on about? None of what I've said is relevant to your question, OP. Sorry! Blush

My oldest son had 5 years on his own before the other two came along. He plays well with my youngest son better now as they both can play on Xbox together. However my oldest son is very immature.

I do feel sorry for my middle son as he was never the baby for long and when my dd was born we was always back and forth to the hospital (after over a year of investigations turned out she a larengyile cleft). However my middle child seems very grounded and happy. He enjoys his one on one time but plays well (most of the time) with his siblings.

So I think if I should fall pregnant now it will mean a nice age gap. Not large and not to small they will be four years between the baby and my youngest.

I hope I judge this right. Shock
