How do you divide your time?

Does anyone have any tips/ideas as to how they divide their time during the holidays with dcs? My family has quite an age range 4 to 16 and therefore one size certainly doesn't fit all.

Any ideas as to how to make sure everyone has has some time with you during the hols doing something they wanted to do?

we have mummy and daddy days where each child has a day out with one parent on their own and they choose what they want to do. These have ranged from skiing at the snowdome to swimming with a smoothie and comic afterwards. We introduced them when the DCs were little and daddy was going away for 6 months, now they have become a part of normal holiday life. Does mean that the other parent gets 3 on their own for a day (ok for me but a bit of a culture shock for DH)Grin

Tomorrow 2 DSs (9&8) are going to friends for the day so the 2 DDs(11&5) are having a girly day with me.

They have also made a summer bucket list each with things they want to do, I told them they could have 5 items each and they would all get done (within reason on the expense side).

DH is about to go away for 7 months so the 4DCs (ranging from 11 to 5) have said that they want to go to nanny and pappi for a couple of days so that mummy and daddy can have a daddy/mummy day

Watching with interest. DD1(14) tends to amuse herself meeting friends/computer/tv/music. DD2(5)DS1(4) and DS2(2) all being similar in age play together and enjoy the same types of games/activities/outings.However I would like to try to give them special 1:1 time.Sometimes DD1 and I go to the pictures or out on shopping expedition but its rather ad hoc and rarely planned in advance.

salad our mummy and daddy days are planned in advance on and the calendar a good 2 weeks in advance otherwise they wouldn't happen as something would crop up or someone would be ill. We found if you buy tickets in advance (for cinema, bowling, skiing) book a table for food then you are less likely to blow it off due to a sick DC or the weather not being good etc
