Just wondering how you find life with 3 or more dc. I am expecting my 3rd after quite a gap.
Really pleased but just wondering how you cope in certain situations ie hotels. So used to family room for 4. Also theme parks etc.
Any tips gratefully received.

Don't go anywhere!

We still fit in travelodge etc atm. (12,10,1) so not for much longer!

We have three 13. 11 and 4. We all still fit in a travel lodge room, we just take a ready bed for the youngest.
The biggest issue I have with three is the differing likes and activities but that is more to do with the age gap.

We've used interconnecting rooms at Drayton manor which was not anymore expensive than a regular room. We 've stayed in a HUGE family room at village hotel that sleeps up to 6 as well. Usually though, we prefer to stay in a 3 bed apartment/caravan or take our tent Grin

Officially I don't think you are supposed to have more than four to a room, but we have never been stopped and we use TL rooms a lot.
If ever we are stopped, we will feign ignorance.
Same age gap as us!
Most of the time it's great, just occasionally the age gap does cause a problem.

Two rooms at travel lodge as some are tiny . Family tickets plus 1. It does get expensive but its lovley. I have 3 and am pregnant. Smile

Was really interested to find this thread as also expected 3rd with same age gaps as york67. Hope you don't mind me asking, but do people who already have three find the sibling dynamics alot harder with three than two -really worried about one always being left out...

RosemaryandThyme · 07/04/2012 19:58

We have three 7,4,3, haven't found that one is left-out, usually either all three play together, they all play seperately or the younger two play together and older one occupies himself.

Biggest difference is the noise level - even when they are playing alone they constantly talk to themselves, sing themselves to sleep and make grunting noises through the night. We have lots of other children around too so ours is a very noisy household.

Aboutlastnight · 07/04/2012 20:00

We find the noise pretty intense too so do our neighbours

york67 · 08/04/2012 18:10

Thanks. I am abit worried about dynamics too.
