Feeling a bit stressed!

Hi all, this is my first post. I have a dd(5) dd (10 months) and I am 7 months pregnant. I'm also a single parent due to the father of my children being an arsehole unfortunately. I only live in a 2 bedroom flat, and I'm wondering if there is anyone else who has a similar situation to me?

I also study at university, and baby comes in the middle of it, but I have good family support so I am positive I will finish, though I'm feelin VERY overwhelmed at the thought of 3 children. 3 in a 2 bedroom flat! And the 10 month old is a terrible sleeper, I thought I could move her into her sisters room by now (which is very big fortunately) but i'm having to contemplate having the 10 month old and newborn in same room when he makes an arrival.

Im not sure what I'm really asking, or what I'm trying to say.. but does this make sense to anyone?! I'm so scared!

That does sound overwhelming. Your younger DD will be 12 months when the new baby comes, so still a baby herself really! Have you got a big bed? Might end up with three of you in it, but I think, whatever it takes to get you some sleep is fine. With my DS, actually getting up to settle him in another room was too exhausting, so I let him co-sleep and it was better for everyone!

Oh, and I meant to say, good luck with it all and keep us posted :)

Congratulations on your pregnancy.

Most universities will let you take a year out, particularily if you have just had a baby. So, if you do find you are struggling you could ask for some time out.

I am sure you will be fine, particularily with help from your family.

i had my first child at uni, he was born at the end of aug, i was due to start my 3rd in the sept, i tried to and lasted 3 wks before deffering fora year and going back when he was 13mths. so yes deffering fora year is an option if you need to.

what are the issues with the babies sleep? my dd is 12mths and isnt sleeping great, when she was born my ds4 wasnt a great sleeper so i had him in our bedroom as well on a toddler bed at the end of my bed so i could comfort him as necessary and had dd in bed with us. he got better eventually and is now in with ds3.

good luck with it all, glad you have supportive family :)

Thank you. I have fiilled in the paperwork to get an extension from April to August. I really couldn't defer, Ive been studying since my dd was 1, and I'm so close to finishing!!

My youngest dd doesnt like sleeping in my bed, which is annoying because I would happily have her in there if it meant sleep!

I'm supposed to be using this christmas holidays to sort the house out/wash baby clothes etc.. but so far I have done nothing! I'm more exhausted now then I was at the beginning of my pregnancy.

I take my hat off to you ladies with large famalies! No more babies for me after this!
