We are on holiday in drizzily Cornwall this week.

Just wondered where everyone else is thinking of going this year. Any good places for larger families you could share?

We are going to centre parks next week was £300 i think but we wont spend much once we are there our children are happy to swim and play in the parks, go for walks etc.

Thats our lot for this yr thought mainly because we are extending our house Grin

We are off to the south of france in July. My family- me,dp and 8 kids and my sister with her Dp and son and my dad. We are driving and renting 2 Gites. Boat and rent has cost £1330.00.

We haven;t had a holiday since 1999 when we went to disneyland paris, but that was with only 4 children! Can't go on planes now-far too expensive!

We're going to feather down farm in new forest in aug for a week then a week at home with as many activities as tesco vouchers will let us do :)

Just back from a week in Fuerteventura (got a weeks all inclusive for 2 adults, 2 children and baby for £1900) I thought it was a bargain and we managed to pay for it with some money after moving house last summer.

Had a great time and didn't really need any spending money.

We're also going to try featherdown for a weekend in May.

GaribaldiGirl · 28/02/2011 21:53

we've done featherdown for 3 consecutive years - and are going again for a long weekend in May. I really recommend it, great value and beautiful sites. However it's 6 max to a tent so we have to go with friends who have just 2 children and get one of children to have a sleepover with them every night. we hardly leave the site - the children spend the whole time playing in the fields getting filthy - they absolutely love it.

Garibaldi - its recommendations like that that made us pick featherdown - I'm really looking forward to it Smile

verybusyspider - have you been before? if you haven't my advice is to take really warm pyjamas and a few extra blankets (can get chilly at night to all us softies used to central heating). And take a large thermos flask so you can store hot water - takes a while to boil the kettle on a woodburner. i wanted to go to the new forest one, but it gets booked up really quickly< so lucky you!

no not been before so any tips like that greatly received! we did camp last year in june so have all the gear so keeping boys warm at night but wasn't sure how much to take...
