not quite, I've done teens, 20's and 30's, not doing 40's though (am 39) my body has had it with the whole pregnancy and birth thing! My 5 range from 20 to 17 months. Things change every time, not just me, ahhh, long gone are the days of regular midwife care and boy or girl nappies Smile Oh and the fact baby clothes came in all colours because scans weren't good enough to recognise the babys sex accurately enough!

I have done teens, 20's and 30's...would love to do 40's too but been sterilised.

I think parenting is harder now that i am older (36)...i think its the teenagers...teenagers are exhausting and so much more difficult than newborns and terrible 2's!! But i would still love another baby. Grin

My children are 17, 15, 13, 12, 9,9. 6,6.

my children are 27,23,21,15 & 1 year. It is wonderful being a mum again and to be honest other than not having as much energy i think im abetter mother this time round im more patient, have more time and can really appriaciate each little thing she does, i know she is going to be my last so im really trying to be the best mother i can. I think u look at things differently when your older. I feel a bit sad that i took my older children for granted when they were little. I didnt breast feed the others but because i have more time and confidence this time around i have successfully breast fed my 13 month old up till now and so pleased i did.

I know what you mean logan. I am very Envy of you having a little one!

florencerusty · 04/11/2010 12:07

Yes I did them all. My children are 24, 22, 3 (but with the angels) and 2. I completely agree Loganberry. This little one is very precious and our perspective is so different since our DS was born with wings and yes I definately took the older 2 for granted sadly. I am a far better parent now although I think having such widespread DC's brings it's own challenges. frequently I am sorting finance/relationship issues for one whilst playing happyland with another lol

My MIL had children in her 20s, 30s and 40s

I'd love to have the energy I had when dd1 was born now but I think now I'm calmer and obviously know just a little more about being a parent. I think when you have your pfb you can't wait for them to do all the new things, it's such an adventure. Now with ds2 (dc5) you sort of don't want them to grow too quick, they don't stay babies for 5 minutes it seems, it's true when they say babies don't keep.

September was interesting for us, dd1 off to uni, dd2 off to senior school and dd3 starting reception, my nerves were completely shot Grin

florence, trying to plan a day out that pleases everyone is impossible!

I have done 20's, 30's and 40's feel like I am a different Mum now to the one I was in my 20's

jellybeans · 04/11/2010 15:03

I've done teens, 20's and 30's. Am early 30s but not planning more!! Mine are aged between 1 and 14, I have 5. I enjoyed all ages but I feel more confident and patient now aswell as better off financially. With DD1 we had no washing machine or proper running water and were very poor teenagers. I also have lost babies and appreciate my living children much more than I did before. I find I have less energy in my 30s than 20s though, unless I am just unfit!!

buttonmoon78 · 04/11/2010 17:01

I've done teens, 20s and now aiming for 30s. Will definitely NOT be aiming for 40s though!

NotanOtter · 05/11/2010 23:50

done 20's 30's and 40's

perpetuallypregnant · 06/11/2010 01:15

Teens, 20s and 30s here. Am almost 31 and this will be my 5th and last child!!!

Ages are 14, 12, 7 and 5 months!

I love the age range, the little ones balance out and calm the stroppy teens and the stroppy teens adore the baby!

I agree with most other posters in that I am a completely different parent now that when I had the older 2.

DH is definitely for the snip after this one though.

My mum had one in her 20s 30s and 40s. I was 17 when my youngest sister was born. What always struck me was how even though she was the easiest baby that ever lived, how tired my mum looked. (My dad was no help to her whatsoever) To me, it never felt like we were close, because each one of us was at least 8 years apart. I'd say my experience had a lot to do with me having DS and DD pretty much 2 years apart to the day.
