People seem to conveniently forget that Israel often do well in Eurovision. Probably something to do with how much time and money they invest in finding the right song and artist 🙃 it's the same reason Sweden often does well - they have a whole long competition to find the best contestant. It's not so unreasonable to think that it might lead to decent results?!

If so, Israel were the real winners this year. It would significantly reduce the amount of Hamas propaganda being spread! Although I suppose these people tend to only boycott things they weren't using in the first place. They have morals and are obviously on the right side of history but come on, you can't expect them to have to be inconvenienced by it all?! And this is exactly one of the reasons I didn't want Israel to win. Can you imagine if they'd won? We'd have posters on Mumsnet quoting the full text of the Protocols and then crying that 'we can't say anything without etc etc'

The clip I've seen the translation of they weren't inciting violence just warning it was a scary performance and then mocking the whole goth thing.
