My eldest daughter is 9 and so missed out on child trust fund which I have subsequently set up for other 2 dc.
I want to sort her out now with a saving account or investment account in stocks/shares and have about £25 per month plus an intial small lump sum (between £250-£500).
Anyone used JUMP or have anyone they could recommend or an ISA or what??!
Many thanks.

I went for a Halifax account which I think has 6% interest if I remember rightly.

Have a look on moneysavingexpert.com - I found this very useful to understand all about the ins and outs of child accounts.

mumadoo
Do you work for the company by any chance?

You have posted on multiple threads today about how wonderful it is...

It's all a bit obvious IMHO.

Did you know that advertisers have to pay a fee?

Lonicera · 21/01/2010 18:57

blimey

Whippet · 21/01/2010 18:57

Whippet · 21/01/2010 19:01

Gawd..... how stupid do they think we are?

Must be a man I reckon!

mumadoo · 22/01/2010 18:09

Whippet I don't take kindly to your rudeness,

I am a mother who has had problems with investing in the the past so I decided to pass on this really useful service to others. i hadn't heard of mumsnet until recently due to the publicity surrounding the gordon brown an david cameron online chats. I'm appalled that you find the need to go through everyone of my posts and try and publicly shame me. How dare you?

Whippet · 22/01/2010 18:35

So as a new poster you felt the need to post the link to this website on 13 (many old) threads all within the 'Investment' topic?

No other posts.
No other topics.

Sorry. Don't buy it.

How dare I? well, I've been on here 10 years, and have seen it all before I'm afraid.

(P.S. Crap site anyway folks - I did check!)

OK - another question...

Is it a sheer coincidence then that this website is described as a 'new service' and has very recently set up a Facebook page?

I can recommend a very good marketing consultant in Chichester if you'd like?

Lonicera · 22/01/2010 19:47

mumadoo if you like mumsnet and are a mum, why don't you join in properly and post on other more popular, non-investment related threads?

mumadoo · 22/01/2010 19:51

Hi Lonicera

I will do so, I have only been a member for a few days! but thank you for the suggestion and invite. i've already started browsing more sites and i'm sure i'll comment soon. thank you for making me feel more welcome no though :O

Whippet · 22/01/2010 19:54

Lonicera - quite right - (exactly what I've just posted on one of the other threads).
