The bonus is good, but very restrictive Ts&Cs on a LISA. Can only be used to buy a first home (under a certain value). Otherwise it's locked away until age 60 unless you repay the bonus. So I'd look at something with more flexible access as well.

Yes be careful with the restrictions on the LISA, if your first house purchase is likely to be above £450k it's not suitable as you'll have to pay the 25% bonus back.
I've heard good things about the Dodl App https://dodl.co.uk/ easy to use & low cost, they explain the LISA t&c clearly. I use AJ Bell for my SIPP and ISA and their customer service is excellent

Dodl is a low-cost, little-effort investing app that makes it easy to invest in funds, thematic investments, and shares through an ISA, LISA, GIA, or pension.

Thank you. I don’t think a LISA is a good idea with those restrictions .

Any ISA that people can recommend?

Thank you. Which one do they prefer? With S&S ISA do they have ti manage/choose their investments.

Perhaps is easier to give them a call!

You can choose either option for an ISA. Look at the A J Bell Funds if you want them to manage it for you (costs more but still low %), you just set a regular monthly DD, what risk you're happy with & they do the rest. Or you could choose your own investments & manage what your monthly DD is used to buy, this is cheaper but more work & not really much use for newbies.

Think they like both and yes, they choose their own funds.

Thank you. I think that is what they want to start with, set up a DD, choose the risk and get them to manage it. Is there a minimum amount they have to start with?

If you like the idea of investing with AJ Bell, you might consider AJ Bell Dodl.

It's a simplified version of the main brand and an app only platform, that's ideal for new investors. It has much cheaper platform fees (0.15%) and no fees for buying and selling investments. It has a simpler, more limited range of investments - including eight ready made, risk-rated funds managed by AJ Bell.

It also has a range of 29 themed funds managed by AJ Bell, and a limited range of about 80 UK and US shares so users can begin to experiment in building their own portfolio if they wish. Minimum direct debit amount is £25 or a £100 lump sum, (which can be paid by Apple Pay or Google Pay).
It also pays a decent rate of 4.58% on cash holdings in the account.

This explains the difference between the two platforms..
