Looks like my Chase 1% boost has ended so down to 3.5%. I like the app actually, but time to chase the rate.

So where are we parking the instant access spare funds at the moment?

Watching with interest……..I’m curious too about best move now Chase boost is finished

Numberwangggg · 23/01/2025 06:44

Atom or Chip, both 4.85%.

I'm with Trading 212, cash ISA 4.9% they are currently doing one for 5.1% for new customers. It's a flexible ISA and easy access.

Excellent leads, thanking you 🙏

Watching too, ISA allowance used. I really hoped Chase would continue with the boost but it's not looking likely 😕

My next best account which is open to new customers is Tandem instant savings at 4.4%.

Ooh, finally I have something to add rather than ask on this board! 🤣🥳

I had the same Chase account which has dropped as per OP. This account is now empty. I have an empty Metro account from when I moved to Chase. Ironically "chasing" the higher interest rates.

I didn't want to be littering these empty accounts behind me every 6-12 months.

So I opened a HL active savings account.

https://www.hl.co.uk/savings/savings-account

I can open savings accounts with their 20+ partners all via the HL hub.

The interest rates are a tad lower as HL doesn't charge a fee. But I believe we're taking 0.01ish %.

I've opened accounts via HL with interest rates of 4.46%.

Overall I'm pleased enough 👍

TheGander · 27/01/2025 20:25

Kent Reliance has 4.56%AER at the moment.

bootswithoutsole · 27/01/2025 21:19

Another recommendation for HL Active savings here. It's very easy to move your money between banks via their platform, so good for beating inertia when rates change. There are easy/limited access and fixed term accounts on there.

Just check the Money Savings Expert website, they update it all the time and list the best ISA and easy expert accounts

That is a neat solution. Thanks 🙏

Side from an ISA, I split between Chip and OakNorth at the moment. OakNorth is 4.57% and a very easy process and app

bootswithoutsole · 28/01/2025 15:31

It's worth mentioning that the Hargreaves Lansdown cash ISA has active savings functionality too. This means you can move money between banks within the ISA wrapper.

gianfrancogorgonzola · 28/01/2025 15:34

Also annoyed with chase, moved mine to T121 cash isa and put the rest in my SIPP
