Commemorative coins

What are they actually worth?
I have quite a few £5 commemorative coins, are they worth £5 or less these days? This is one of them. And where would I take them, a bank?

I only buy coins from the royal mint so not sure about coins from anywhere else

Most of them are official royal mint coins.

There are often collectable coins for sale on ebay, that is certainly one way to get some idea of what they may be worth. Whether that is the best way to actually sell them I don't know.

Searching the sold items part of ebay for "royal navy commemorative £5 coin" shows that these are worth pretty much about the face value of £5. Not sure whether a bank would swap it for you for a regular £5 note .... maybe. Or you could sell it on ebay.

£8

Look up what they sell for on ebay. They are legal tender so should be worth at least face value. If there weren't many minted they may be worth more than face value.

Theoretically a bank should change them, but you might need to go to (send to) the Bank of England.
