UK trading platform for teens

Hi, I've been trying to download a custodial trading platform to help my 15 year to learn about investing and trading, but none of the ones I've tried so far (all US based I think) are loading or they cannot be used in the UK (greenlight, Acorns, Stockpile etc). I use 212 myself but it doesnt have a custodial facility. Can anyone recommend one?

Otherwise I'll sign him up in my name, in which case can anyone recommend a good beginners/teaching app?

I'll have a look at that thank you. Not sure I'll be successful getting him to read anything at all but I'll try. He views reading as an abhorrent chore. I don't know why, I've always loved reading and his brother reads all the time. The app idea is because I think it would have more chance of engaging , drawing him in, he has a very short attention span

In that case Op I'd leave markets alone for now and let him find a way of funding his own label hauls. Only when he learns that if he earns, he gets, will he ever get motivated. I'm very generous to my son, he's an avid saver for specific goals and so I do financially support him too to help him get there quicker, but if I thought he was wasting his money I wouldn't.

He has been talking about doing this actually, he knows I am entirely supportive of it. He seems to know a lot about youth fashion. I knew this sort of was going to be a thing a few years ago and set up a Chinese language after school club of course he never went to it. Next time he begs me for anything I'll tell him that instead I'll fund one for him to resale and buy his own stupid Jordans or CP or whatever roadmanesque notes he's after

He was actually begging for Moncler this Christmas would you believe. He has never earned a penny in his life. Turns his nose up at £20 to clean my car. Doesn't know he's born.

OP my kid made a few quid on trainer auctions then flipping them but it's partly luck. It's a way to get the thirst going for little investment. But he needs to have the thirst

I’ve been looking into this for my teen too and found https://tradelytic.com/ really useful for comparing different platforms side by side. It breaks down fees, account features, and age limits in a simple way, which made the process way easier for both of us. My teen liked being involved and actually understood what each option offered without getting bored or confused.

Google Finance, set up a watchlist for free and understand the basic. ETF, funds, shares etc.
