Hi
I have just checked my DC junior ISA which I transferred from CTF in Oct.It has lost £300 since then. It’s with Forresters
Is this the same for everyone?Im panicking as they’re 18 next year and I thought I was doing the right thing swapping it to an ISA.
Is it worth me transferring it to another company? If so,any recommendations?

I have also checked my pension and that has also gone down recently too.Has this happened to your pension? It went down a ridiculous amount in the first Lockdown but recovered really well and was steadily going up.My pensions with Aviva
Any advice/reassurance would be appreciated

My investments have all gone down a bit lately so you’re not alone.

Assuming your money is in the stock market, within the Jisa and pension wrappers, it will be because everything went down with the recent market correction. Don't panic! Stay invested. You haven't made any mistakes (though i don’t know who forresters are or if their charges are reasonable). It will all recover, but I can't tell you when. But if you don't want to sell at a loss you can just wait.

If it hasn't recovered by the time your child is 18, and assuming they don't need it in cash for any urgent purpose, just leave it invested. If you put it in cash inflation will just destroy its purchasing power.
