S&S Child Trust Fund - should / can I ditch?

Getting nervous about DS's CTF which matures in a couple of years when he is 18. We've been paying into it regularly and it's done pretty well over the years, but in the past 4 months it's value has decreased by £2.5k. It's managed by Foresters, who are 'lifestyling', although the fund into which one third (soon to be 2/3) has been put is performing as badly as the tracker element from what I can tell. It's intended to be a future house deposit. I'm not sure I can stomach the risk of further depletion (while Brexmageddon rages) over the 2yrs until it matures. Has anyone transferred a S&S CTF into a Junior Cash ISA? I think I'd feel less fretful stashing it there, but no idea how I go about it. Do I phone Foresters? The only option on their website (unsurprisingly) seems to be a transfer into a S&S Junior Isa managed by them.
Any advice gratefully received.

Of course you can transfer it. Personally I’d say sit tight, stop the lifestylibg and ensure it’s all SS and wait for the recovery. Make sure you DS understands not to take it out during the downturn.
