Used heated blanket after FET…panicking! Help

Hi girls. Please talk me down. Had my FET yesterday and fell asleep with a heated blanket over me on low. I thought heat was ok just not directly on stomach (which this wasn’t) but I slept for about an hour and woke up sweating a bit. Now I’ve read you shouldn’t use any heated things like that incase they increase your core body temperature. Panicking now now that I’ve ruined my chances

I think the panic is completely normal (I ate a burger 3 days after my FET and was painfully full after, then worried I had ruined it!).

Keep reminding yourself: it was on the lowest setting, it was only for an hour and the concern is about sustained core body temperature (like a temperature from an infection for a few days), not an hour of light sweating. Sweating shows your body was doing what it needs to do to regulate your core temperature. It’s not the same as going into a sauna (and remember even then pregnant women in some Scandi and Nordic countries continue to use them)

That FET worked for me and I haven’t avoided similar type of background heat. I nap in the day with the ooler on our bed on to increase the heat - it’s this mattress topper where you can increase or reduce the temperature. I’ve also had massages in this pregnancy with the heat on the massage bed for an hour or so

Wishing you all the best with it xx
