Anyone had their egg transfer this week and want to get through this long wait together?

Hey, nice to meet you! I'm 4dp5dt .. I'm okay a bit up and down with emotions ! Is this your first IVF round?

Firsttime2023 · 17/10/2026 07:18

@NHEi am very up and down too. I feel positive one minute and then convinced it’s failed the next.
no I’ve had 2 rounds of Ivf and 2 failed transfers previously. This is my first euploid embryo though. How about you?

NHE · 17/10/2026 07:25

@Firsttime2023 yep I am exactly the same , one minute you are convinced it's all fine the next you're struggling to see the light !
This was our first round , we were blessed enough to get it on the NHS but only had one embryo in the end. So it's all up to our one little fighter!

I'm sorry to hear you've had two failed transfers in the past, paying this little one sticks for you 🤞🏼

OP posts:
Firsttime2023 · 17/10/2026 13:28

@NHEmy first round was on the NHS too, this is my first transfer from my second round. I’m praying this is it for us! I hope your little embryo sticks too 🤞🏼 Do you think you will test early or wait?

NHE · 17/10/2026 13:33

@Firsttime2023 how did you find the NHS round compared to your private rounds? Was it much different?

Thank you, I'm really hoping it does.. my official test date is the 23rd , and will do my best to get to that 🤣 what about you?

OP posts:
Firsttime2023 · 17/10/2026 13:42

It’s tough to say because we’ve gone abroad for our private round, so it’s hard to compare! We did manage to get 3 embryos for our nhs round but we just needed further investigating I think. My new clinic thinks the main reason we haven’t had success is due to our embryos being abnormal so we’ve done pgta this time around. Plus I had a microbiome test and hysteroscopy which picked up polyps and endometritis. Obviously none of this is done on nhs round so there’s nothing to say that round wouldn’t have been successful if I didn’t have these issues! It didn’t work for me but I know it does for plenty of other people ☺️

Firsttime2023 · 17/10/2026 13:43

Oh and my official test date is 25th! I think I am going to hold out as if really didn’t help me testing early last time! In my head I thought it would soften the blow a bit if it was negative but it really didn’t. This time I think I’d rather stay in a little hopeful bubble as long as possible

NHE · 17/10/2026 16:59

@Firsttime2023 ah wow, yea I found with the NHS they do a bit less than private (to be expected obviously). Im glad the private has helped identify some reasons for you!

Oh we are only a couple days apart !

Hope you dont mind me sharing & wishing you all the luck with your journey

I carry a chromosome translocation, so we need IVF with genetic testing (PGT-SR). After being told our postcode and my older child ruled out NHS funding, we spent around £14,000 on a cycle that sadly left us with no embryos.

We’re still hoping there’s a chance for us, but misleading information and delays may mean we’ve now missed the age cut-off.

We’ve started a petition for fairer access—even if it comes too late for us, we want things to change for others. Please sign and share will your followers if you can. It would mean so much 🤍 x.

@Firsttime2023 how are you today?

OP posts:
Firsttime2023 · 18/10/2026 13:38

@NHEHad the worst night sleep was just up thinking about how awful it’s going to be if this hasn’t worked 😫 the progesterone and estrogen are starting to make me feel a bit rotten too, feel nauseous and so tired! How are you feeling today?

NHE · 18/10/2026 13:44

@Firsttime2023 oh no I'm sorry to hear that , are you taking both estrogen and progesterone!? It's so difficult cause unlike natural conception you know for a fact there is an embryo, so it makes the wait harder I think!!

I'm only on progesterone, but I'm emotional as heck so can't imagine how you feel!!

If you don't mind me asking, What's your backstory? How did you get to this point?

OP posts:
Firsttime2023 · 18/10/2026 15:13

@NHEYeh I agree and knowing that by this point my body knows if I am pregnant or not, but my mind doesn’t know that information yet….I find that so difficult!

So we started TTC just over 3 years ago. After a year we had no luck so we went for some tests, everything came back normal. But for me I was 38 at the time so I didn’t want to wait any longer and asked to be referred for IVF. Had some more tests still everything came back “normal”. As I said our first round was on the NHS. We got 3 embryos, had a fresh and frozen transfer but both failed. We still have one embryo with that clinic but our funding had run out so we decided to have a fresh round with a clinic in Greece. We managed to get 2 euploids and this is the first transfer. I am 40 now so time really isn’t on our side 😞

What about you?

NHE · 18/10/2026 17:18

@Firsttime2023 we will get through this!

Oh wow that's quite hectic, would you go back for your one embryo left in NHS ? Why did you guys pick Greece to do your private rounds? Don't be too disheartened, your little embryo will stick !

Uhm, I'm 2 years ago I did that hertility thing where they test your hormones and it came back saying I have a low egg reserve. I was studying my chartered accounting at the time so didn't really have time to do anything about it. I was 27 so obviously had the "I'm young I have time" mindset!

Started trying last year , we are almost two years in now l. Earlier this year we got referred to specialists, same as you all the tests came back "normal". But because of the lowwl reserve they said best to not waste more time. So referred me for IVF. And now here we are, with our one embryo!

Fingers crossed both our embryos stick! Are you feeling the urge to test early yet? I’m not at the moment which surprises me as it’s all I thought about last time 😂

I think if neither of our euploids work (I pray one of them does 😫) then I think we will try our one embryo left in this country. I don’t know if we can emotionally or financially do another full round…. So will have to cross that bridge if it comes to it 😬
We picked Greece as we had some friends who had success with this particular clinic. We had consultations with 4 other clinics, 3 in Greece and 1 in Turkey but ultimately we picked the one our friends used. We just got the best feel for that clinic and the cost is so much cheaper than here.

oh yes I did hertility actually! Do you qualify for another round with the NHS? I know ifs different depending on where you live which is crazy to me!

NHE · 18/10/2026 18:35

Yes , good vibes!! I do have the urge to test early. I really need to fight that urge..

Ah yea good to go where you get good vibes , it makes such a difference!!

Yea , i don't know if knowing was better than not with the whole hertility thing!! Oh , I don't know the funding we got approved they only gave us one round. Could probably look into it !

NHE · 18/10/2026 18:37

@Firsttime2023 how are you , I'm STRUGGLING with the urge of early testing

OP posts:
Firsttime2023 · 19/10/2026 21:40

@NHE Oh no! I am actually ok I am too scared to test. I am just sleeping really bad so struggling with that. I’ve started some mild cramping today though so worried it means my period is coming. Even though I know it can be a good sign as well. It’s hard not to spiral isn’t it 😫

when is your test day again?

NHE · Yesterday 05:45

@Firsttime2023 remember the cramping could also just be the progesterone!

Official test day is 23rd for me!

OP posts:
Firsttime2023 · Yesterday 08:17

@NHEHonestly I am so up and down 😂 I’m positive one minute and totally convinced it’s failed the next! It’s so strange. I’m dreading testing but so excited as well.

NHE · Yesterday 08:19

@Firsttime2023 same here Tbh, I did make the mistake of testing this morning. It was negative. I'm putting that down to it being too early (might be delusional)

Am now not touching a test until Friday 🫠
