Anyone else in the two week wait after IVF transfer?

I am 3DPT5DT. This is the furthest I have even gotten - we got our free round on the NHS 4 years ago but didn’t get anything past 3 days but transferred one that looked ok - negative. Have been trying for 6 years this year. Partner had temporary sperm blockage - samples were great and then dropped to nothing really randomly - did a micro tese 4 years ago and was completely empty. Fast forward to this year we have gone privately with 2 rounds of eggs I froze a couple of years ago - he repeated his sample just for peace of mind as we had purchased donor sperm and low and behold - sperm results had returned completely normal.
We thawed 31 eggs - 31 survived the thaw, 21 fertilised but by day 5 we only had 2 left (1x 5AA Transferred on 23/5 and 1x 5BB which is on ice. We know that there have obviously been some issues with conversion into Blast as I was only 27/28 when I froze my eggs. Can’t help but worry that something may be wrong with the 2 we got on this basis but I’m also so grateful that we have atleast got 2 chances which is more than we ever have had.
is anyone else in the 2WW? I have no symptoms at all so far :(

Did the faint line come up straight away?

Yeah I would say it was there around 7 mins after dipping (test says wait 5 minutes but view results within 10) xx

Sounds good then xx

I ended up using good ol’ boots pregnancy strip tests to test in my most recent transfer. They did me well :) I saw something on both your tests by the way, today’s a little more, but I do hate clear blue for threshold testing. I’d also be up at 4am desperate to know something more! Deep breaths!

I have just done a first response with an afternoon wee and I think this could be it? Xxx

@Narlem if you didn’t have a trigger, I’d say your pregnant 👏

congratulations!

congratulations!

No trigger - it was a cycle where we used my frozen eggs with my partners fresh sperm so only things I have been taking are pessesaries, the patch and then estradiol tablets. I honestly can’t believe it yet both me and my partner haven’t really digested it - I think we will believe it when we do a digital on test day (5th) and hopefully it has progressed. I am terrified of having a chemical pregnancy xxx

The clear blue ultra early I did was in the evening of 4DPT and was a real squinter couldn’t really see much and I was worried it was just dye running but the first response today is 5 days past Transfer xxx

Congratulations!! Those tests are looking really positive. Nice and dark for very early on. Id say your day 4 test was positive and no on day 5 its much darker.

aLogLady · 29/05/2026 05:18

Ooh brilliant @Narlem ! So happy you got your positive! Agree with pp, take one day at a time and enjoy where you are!

Narlem · 29/05/2026 06:38

tested this morning with FMU can’t really compare with yesterdays as it was in the afternoon on quite a short hold (maybe a couple of hours) and obviously is dry on the below pic. Feel like today’s does look slightly darker (even though it’s fresh?) im just praying tomorrow looks darker so i can compare it closer to the 48 hrs xx

Oh really that’s good! We think it looks darker in person too and also considering yesterday’s will be darker because it’s dry - hopefully we see a good difference tomorrow. How are you feeling? Xxx

Sorry lovely just seen your messages. I’m in Venice so trying to just enjoy it, but I tested again today and line is still faint and hasn’t really progressed since yesterday if anything I think it looks fainter- feeling really sad and worried just preparing for a chemical (I haven’t experienced one before but my tests look similar to some online that have sadly gone through it) How are you? Xx

I would say that the day 7 looks darker than day 5 and they say so long as it increases every 48 hours, that is a good sign. I’ve also been doing a lot of reading on how tests can fluctuate on different days due to heat and dehydration, so you may still be ok!
Also spiralling here too now as I’ve now got negative tests so maybe mine was just residual trigger, hoping I’m not out as still only 5 days today!
Hope you can try and enjoy Venice as much as you can xx

yes it is much darker than day 5 however so was day 6 so just hasn’t moved in 24 hours which is where my worry has come in, silly really as if I hadn’t tested yesterday I would feel so happy with the line today compared to Thursday. I think I will leave testing tomorrow as Monday will be the day to compare today’s tests and then we will know. I had quite a lot of cramping yesterday but last night and today so far I’ve had absolutely nothing - boobs are not as tender either. Feel so sorry for my partner too.

you are deffo not out yet - I have everything crossed for you xxxx
