Thoughts on PGT A testing? already have an euploid from last round and it's soo expensive

Hi all.
I have an euploid (first round had 3 day 5 blastocysts, 1 euploid) but doing a second round to get a "back up"
Day 5 update.. 2 early blastocysts that should make it but leaving them until tomorrow morning to freeze or biopsy then freeze and also a cavitating morula that's making good progress!
It's been SO expensive, and I only want one child and may never use these embryos if the transfer of my euploid works.
Do I test these embryos too to see if euploids?
On one hand it's good information, on the other hand I'm so worried about finances and may never even use these embryos. Also I'm worried that the biopsy could cause damage to my embryos.
Would be great to get your advice!

The answer depends on your age, whether you have a history of loss and whether this second round will be your last regardless of results outcome.

Since you already have a euploid ready to transfer, it’s very reasonable to freeze these embryos without testing and only consider PGT‑A if you ever need them later especially given the cost and the fact you only want one child. Testing can provide useful information, but it’s expensive and you may never use these embryos, and modern biopsy risk is low but not zero. Many people in your situation choose to freeze now, protect finances, and revisit testing only if a future transfer is needed.

I would assess the cost of testing vs the cost of multiple transfers later on.

my understanding is that if you're going to test, its better to test before freezing, rather than defrosting, testing and refreezing later.
So if you are happy to transfer untested embryos later if needed, I wouldn't bother. If you would want to test later before transferring, I would do it now.

I dont think you would need to test embryos. It is really expensive and even with tested embryos, there are no guarantees that they are going to work though could have a higher success rate. I cant afford all thats involved in ivf and also testing embryo so i just dont. Its cheaper for me to transfer or do an entire new cycle and collect more eggs then it is to test usually the only embryo left at day 5.

Thanks all @sirensong @MyCosyLimeHare @leaflake @Miraclemuma03 I have one strong embryo.. 5BC (but a good one apparently) and 2 lagging behind that have collapsed and reexpanded (waiting for tomororw to see how these do.) I'm thinking to not test.. and if my euploid fails.. transfer the one that's done well and just pray that it works! hope that's a reasonable plan!?
