One euploid - Do I go again or not? What tests should I do?

Hello all,
I was wondering if you lovely ladies could give me some advice please.
I have had a few rounds of IVF and failed transfers with untested embryos so decided to start testing as I'm 40 years old.
In my last round I got 9 eggs, 3 day5 blastocysts, and 1 euploid.
I was going to transfer this month but as I only have one I got nervous. So I think I am going to do further tests - had the saline scan which looked fine but think I may do a hysteroscopy. Any other tests you'd recommend would be great. I've done the EMMA/Alice a year ago.
I'm wondering whether to transfer this euploid next month OR to do another round to try and get another euploid - what do you think?? It's more money (which makes me feel a bit sick) but I can make it work and think I'd feel less pressure having more than one, and it's also the potential of a second child, though I think I'd be happy with just one.
I'm also a little concerned as my boyfriend isn't as all in on this as me. We have been together for years and I love him a lot but he's concerned me a little lately. It seems he's more doing this for me than because he really wants a child (but knows when it comes he'll love it) and I also sometimes question his commitment. I know he loves me but he does have commitment issues, and although we are pretty solid, I don't feel 100% secure in the relationship.
I was about to jump into another round, and have the medication ready but now I'm questioning it a bit. Had my baseline earlier, and have 15 follicles this month so looks like I should get a decent amount of eggs. Do I just go for it and try for another euploid or pause? or just freeze my eggs? or would the clinic let me use half, and freeze half if I get a decent amount of eggs say 12?
What would you do in my position? I'd love to hear your thoughts and thank you in advance!

Hi OP, sorry that you’re going through this. If one day you think you’d be willing to use donor sperm, then I think I would freeze eggs. This would reduce the cost of the round a bit (just eggs is cheaper than embryos) and gives you an opportunity for various scenarios in the future: first child, second child, different partner or donor. But as you will already know, having eggs frozen absolutely does not guarantee a child at the end of it! If you wouldn’t be willing to use donor sperm anyway, then it’s probably worth trying to go all the way to embryo with your partner if you were going to do any freezing now at all. Obviously, there’s no right way of looking at it, that’s just my take if I was in the same situation.
Good luck whatever you choose!

If you can afford it and are considering a second child definitely proceed - your chances are much higher now than in a year or two. Plus one euploid has a 50-60% chance but by second euploid transfer the cumulative success rate is more like 80%.

It is better to freeze embryos not eggs but if you have relationship concerns you could consider eggs.

I would do a second round if it were me. I wouldn't freeze eggs at your age, TBH. You'd need to do multiple rounds to make it worthwhile.

FWIW, I had the same results as you - three blastocysts, one euploid, age 40, and I'm due this June. I am probably just broody but a bit of me wishes I'd done another round for the chance of another one.

What did you decide to do @Molly40 ? I’m in a similar situation of 1 euploid after 6 egg collections. Trying to decide if I can emotionally and financially go for another collection. My partner is on the same page I think so don’t have that added stress but it’s still a nightmare trying to decide. Feels like an impossible situation…..
