Hi All
Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄

Has anyone used access fertility? Do you actually get a refund and if you have a baby how long do you have to pay it back. I have secondary Unexplained infertility we have paid for 3 rounds of IUI through LWC but 2 have been unsuccessful so far. Everyone keeps saying to me just chill out or stop trying and it will happen so we have had a 2 month break....and guess what im still not bloody pregnant....but equally I can't let it go and im determined for another baby but my biggest fear is spending all of our savings to then not get another baby at the end of it. ....which i know isn't the right attitude but im so down and sad each month when my period comes. We have been trying for over 2 years now 😢

So has anyone used access fertility ? Was your experience positive or negative? Any information is much appreciated

Thank you

Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas 🎄

I used Access Fertility for the multi round package (not the refund package).

My understanding of the refund package is they will do health checks prior to approving you for that package.

It’s also worth noting that the costs are different per clinic. You will need to contact them to ask for the price list for your chosen clinic.

I find them very very helpful to talk to over the phone so could be worth a quick chat with them too.

good luck!

Access fertility have been a good option for us so the costs don't spiral. They don't cover medication and some other things like progesterone blood tests.

We have a refund package so if we don't get pregnant after three cycles we get some money back. If we get pregnant naturally we will get a bit of a refund depending on how much treatment we've used if that makes sense.

The only downside for us is that you have to transfer all embryos before you move to the next cycle. So you can't freeze loads and then do transfers. It's only really been an issue for us as we now need to do PGTA testing and ideally you do it on a higher number of embryos. So I guess it's not as flexible and also you can't change clinics etc. I don't think we would have managed it financially otherwise though.

We used Access Ferility on a 2 cycle no-refund package. It was a good option for us as we needed both rounds (I did 2 egg collections and 3 transfers (1 fresh, 2 frozen) under our package). Just be aware that you will still have medication costs on top of the cost of Access Fertility. I foudn it helpful to have an end point - e.g. we'll do the 2 cycles and then if it doesn't work we will stop, as helped to feel in control of the costs
