I have PCOS. My fertility referral was rejected and i have to reapply in February (don’t ask 🙄).

Can my NHS GP prescribe letrozole or clomi in the meantime to help with my ovulation?

we have been ttc consistently for almost a year now and even more years unprotected sex before that - I am 35 and he is 36

A gp usually can not prescribe fertility medications. You will need to speak with a fertility spefialist to have these types of medications prescribed. Sorry that your application got refused. Hopefully next year is successful. Of not can you go private?

Hi @PeonyPatch. As @Miraclemuma03 says, you're unlikely to get from your GP. You could try getting in touch with Plan Your Baby and have a free consultation with them to see if you'd likely get a prescription through them. It's all online so you wouldn't need to travel to an appointment.

I have spoken to them a few times and got Cyclogest prescribed. I had to pay for a consultation with Dr Sami (about £100) but it was really worth it as he looked through all my results and flagged a few things that hadn't been picked up by the NHS consultant. I think you would need to have a print out of all your blood test results / partners SA results to share ahead of the appointment. Everyone I have spoken to there has been so helpful and lovely.
