Interpreting CD 2 blood test

Hi everyone,

I have just turned 34, after years and years of struggling with my fertility and having a few recent miscarriages (for the first time in the last year or so) I am finally under the care of Gynaecology at Chelsea and Westminster- this is mainly due to having a dermoid cyst on my ovary and polyps found on my uterus which I have now been scheduled for laparoscopic surgery to remove on November. They will also check for endometriosis and perform a HSG whilst I am under.

Before surgery my consultant wanted to check my AMH levels and other hormones which I had done on cycle day two.
My AMH results haven’t come back yet but I had them checked about a year ago and they were 7.2 p/mol. Since then I have lost about 30kg and made huge lifestyle changes and am generally a lot healthier. I am still awaiting the new AMH level results.

I wanted help to interpret my recent day 2’s.
although everything seems generally within range I am a bit worried about the FSH to LH levels. When I had them done December last year the ratios were 1:1 pretty bang on but this time seem to be 2:1 which from what I understand could potentially indicate diminished ovarian reserve ?

I was wondering if any of you could help me interpret as I haven’t been able to discuss with GP or consultant as of yet and am a bit worried.

they are as follow;
Luteinising hormone: 3.7; Oestradiol level: 181; Sex hormone binding globulin 53; Testosterone: 1; Follicular stimulating hormone: 7.4

Please if anyone could help me to interpret I would be incredibly grateful.

Your FSH is on the higher end for your age but isn't in itself going to be a problem for TTC. Can interpret alongside your AMH when that comes through.

Thank you! I thought so. I will update when I receive my AMH levels.
