Immune Protocol at TFP or Belfast

Hi, I was wondering has anyone ever done a transfer with an immune protocol or Prednisolone at a TFP clinic or at any clinic in Belfast please?

for background I have had 3 transfers for 4 apparently top quality embryos now but none have implanted. We cannot find a reason why they are not implanting so I was hoping to try and immune protocol but I am not sure anywhere local to me does it. I will travel for it but would prefer to not have to if possible as we all know the arranging off appointments etc is stressful enough without adding in flights too!

If I were you, I would look into getting an appointment with dr Lyuda in Unqlife first and get testing done before trying to transfer again x

@confused2025 thanj you for your recommendation! I haven’t heard of their clinic before and definitely sounds like some of the testing I’m interested in. It’s much easier to be able to drive down to Dublin and back than to have to rely on flights too. Have you had treatment with her before?

No, but I had booked in with her in case my last round didn’t work and I was lucky that it seems to have. She does a lot of testing around immunology and microbiome which a lot of clinics in UK/Irl don’t. Her consultation price wasn’t crazy either and have heard so many that have had great success with her. She has a 4/5 month wait list but you could ask to get put on the cancellation list and also book in with the nurse in the clinic before to get all set up for right bloods etc to be taken. They also do zoom appointments x

@confused2025 ah perfect thank you. We still have two embryos left with NHS so we are going to transfer them because it is funded then we will move on to more testing/extra protocol when moving to private so I will maybe get on her waitlist in the mean time and then hopefully wouldn’t have to wait too long when we’re actually wanting it! Thank you

Have you been diagnosed with an immunological disorder ?
I understand that you've had repeated implantation failure but have they actually conducted any testing to say you definitively have an immune issue or have you done a microbiome test ?
As I assume the immune protocol involves taking extra drugs

TSHconfusion · 05/09/2025 16:48

@VioIetMoon no I haven’t did any testing for these as my clinic currently don’t do any. From what I’ve seen a lot of clinics just seem to add the steroids without testing. Are there any tests you would recommend please?

It's strange that clinics wouldn't conduct any testing to confirm this first.
It is expensive to have the tests but if your next round also fails , I don't think it'd keep throwing money at cycles and transfers without assessing why they aren't taking.
I can't speak for tfp , as I had my treatment at in ovo and i didnt require testing. I'm not sure but I think I do recall seeing on their website they offer endometrial receptivity tests biome / peak tests at their clinic. They are expensive tho, but then again so is wasting money on transfers.
Sometimes it can just be a roll of the dice. I've seen women succeed having needed several transfers .
Are they continously monitoring your bloods during your cycles at tfp?
Were all your embryos from the same round?

TSHconfusion · 05/09/2025 19:12

I haven’t had any rounds at TFP yet I am still doing transfers from my NHS round but I am just trying to decide whether it is worth while going into a second round at TFP with essentially the same protocol as I know that is what our consultant would recommend, he basically thinks we have gotten very unlucky with a bad batch of embryos. It’s just hard having absolutely no implantation at all, it seems quite an unusual situation. They don’t know any bloods at RFC, which bloods would you be thinking of monitoring during cycle?
