Just wondering if anyone has recent experience of Manchester Fertility they could share?
After being a bit undecided about whether it's time for us to go for IVF, I've now decided I want to and feel like I want to do it NOW haha.

We have our consultation on Friday to discuss results from my USS, amh and partner's sperm analysis (we already know we have male factor)

How long do you think it would be after that we can start?

I'm aware we need the drug teach and virology bloods, do you think it would be possible to start with my next period mid august or is that unrealistic?
We have a holiday (UK) in September so if we can't start August I think we'd be looking at October but I just want to get going!

I'm with Manchester Fertility at the moment and I can't recommend them enough, they've been fab. Very responsive when messaging through the app, all appointments, egg collection and transfer have been seamless. I also wanted to start asap, I went through access to fund treatment and that was all passed within a day or two, as I have long cycles they ordered my meds to arrive in the hope to start on my next cycle, it came sooner than expected so when I spoke to the nurses they allowed me to start my meds the following day! Speak to them and let them know and I'm sure they will be able to accommodate. Best of luck x

Thank you so much! That's really helpful. Gives me hope we can start with my next cycle as it was quick for you. I'm glad you're having a good experience with them! Could I just ask how long it took from you ordering your meds to them arriving? Also, random question but do you pay for the meds when you order them or when you collect them? Many thanks for replying and good luck with the rest of your treatment!

From what I can remember it was no more than a couple of days, they are delivered to an address of your choice through a 3rd party, you have to pay for meds invoice before they arrange the delivery. My only very slight issue with medication delivery was my transfer treatment was ordered after my stims medication and they charged a £55 packing fee which I thought was ridiculous as the meds themself were less than that! But that was the pharmacy not the clinic.

I actually got a BFP this morning on my first transfer so that may give you some hope!

Ahh huge congratulations!! That's wonderful news! Thanks so much for your replies xx

Hi @waitingforourmiracle
I hope your pregnancy is going well!
I'm really sorry to ask for more advice but Manchester Fertility say that I need a 'pre treatment month' before I start, so I can't start with my cycle in August.
Did they say the same to you?
We've already had our consultation.
Can I ask what needed doing from after you had your first consultation with them and how long it took? I know I need virology bloods and I know we'd need to order the medication too.
I'm having short protocol so not really sure why I need a 'pre treatment month'?
Any light you could shed on the matter would be gratefully received (they said they'll phone me today but I'm in work and might not be able to take the call)

It's no problem! I can't remember them saying anything about that, we did have to have bloods done but managed to get them done through the GP pretty quick and as it was our second cycle (we used Create Manchester before this round) some bloods were still in date. Thinking about it... our initial investigations were done in January, bloods were done in Feb then I started meds in March so maybe that's why. It felt quick to start because I wasn't expecting my period to come as early so I got started quick than I thought I would but there was a couple of months inbetween... everything seems like a blur to be honest when your in the thick of it! X

Thank you that's really helpful!

Sorry to jump on but did you get a start date? We are with Manchester fertility and just started stims and was wondering if we are at similar points :)

Sherr33 · 23/08/2025 08:18

Hi all, can I ask those of you who have gone with Manchester Fertility how much has the cost been approximately - i know its all personalised and wont all be the same but just want to know rough estimate. X

Klmno · 23/08/2025 14:42

We have paid 8900 for a two cycle isci package with Access (price changes slightly depending on your age, I'm 35. It's a bit cheaper if you don't need ICSI)
390 for consultation and a scan and amh for me (we had recent semen analysis on NHS, if you don't have that it's a bit more)
283 for virology bloods but those are just mine as my partner's GP agreed to do his
1200 for medication (will pay that again if we need round two). My medication they said is on the cheaper side as I don't need loads.
Hope that helps, their pricelist is online and they can send you the access pricelist too xx

Sorry @Backtotheicsi I didn't see your post
Edited my reply cuz I just wrote a whole message about how long the timescale was and then realised you've already starred stims so that wasn't what you asked!
I start stims in sept
I've made a sept IVF group if you want to join that (although imagine there's also one for august)

His is that 2 cycle fresh transfer or embryo collection package with 1 transfer and all meds? that sounds like a good price if it’s for 2 fresh transfers does it include storage for any embryos frozen ? I can’t decide between create and manchester fertility now . Ttc no3 first time doing ivf .

1 cycle create is £7/8k with meds included. Just too much to get my head around x

Lochside28 · 31/01/2026 16:52

Can anyone get the access fertility refund or do you hsve to meet a criteria ? I know create dnt work with access fertility but manchester fertility do . I have low amh so thought create would be better? Did you have dr tamer nafee? Heard good things about him at create

Klmno · 31/01/2026 16:55

The 8900 was without meds.
That was for two rounds, including all transfers. I think a year's worth of storage.
My meds were additional 1200 for one round (will obviously need to pay that again if we need the second round).

All staff have been lovely and I trust their advice.
I would say that sometimes there is a bit of a wait for follow up appointments, which delays you going again on the next cycle. I.e. if a transfer fails and you want to speak to a doctor about anything you should change, you'd then miss a cycle as you have to request treatment on day one of your period. It's annoying that you can't request treatment and then see the doctor while you're waiting for ovulation. I think availability of appointments should be better tbh.

Sorry didn't see your second post.
Manchester Fertility you tend to see a different consultant each time, I've not met tamer nafee as I'm at Manchester Fertility not create.
Yes Manchester Fertility do offer the access packages including refund packages. We went for two cycle package without refund and without meds. I do think you have to meet certain criteria for the refund ones yes but everyone can use the non-refundable ones, there are no criteria

I’ve just been on website seen this Dr Nikolaos Tsampras as a consultant ! He gave me nightmares !! Told me i will never concieve on my own again and to use donor eggs . Took 1 year to tell me my amh was low when he was at st marys in 2024.

he really affected my mental health . Think i’ll leave manchesterfertility for now incase I get him and he fobs me off again !

i get low amh means less eggs but to be so negative and not telling me other options like low dose stims etc is not on .

Lochside28 · 31/01/2026 18:00

Have you got low amh aswell ?

Klmno · 31/01/2026 18:23

Sorry to hear you've had a bad experience. An insensitive doctor can really make you feel awful. I don't think I've met him yet.
I actually have a very good amh but can't seem to conceive even with IVF, I've had two failed transfers now.
I've heard plenty of success stories with low amh so keep positive!xx

@Lochside28 you can ask not to see a particular doctor.
