Hi
i just wondered if anyone has done embryo batching with PGTA testing, especially if at CRGH, and what the total costs were?
looking at doing this if our last embryo does not stick

TIA

PGTA testing is £3,250 up to 8 embryos. If you have more than 8 it's £250 extra for each embryo. That's last year prices, they might have increased.
Total costs vary depending on your protocol. The quote I initial got last year was around £25k for 2 cycles with ICSI excluding cost of medication and FET (FET is about £3,200).
I ended up going with an access package which included costs of FETs but didn't allow for embryos banking so had to pay twice for pgta testing. Also with this you have to transfer all embryos or discard them before you can start another cycle.

With all the tests and medication we ended up paying about £38k to date (had 2 egg collections and only 2 euploid embryos). First transfer failed. I have 1 euploid left and doing an FET this month. If it doesn't work that will be it for us but if we were to continue we would maybe choose a clinic like King's (has good reputation and more reasonable prices). If you go with CRGH make sure you ask for a private prescription as you can get your meds much cheaper elsewhere (I only realised this for this last transfer).

Not done yet but am in similar situation. Quoted around 20k for 2 rounds inc meds (need stronger as I’m older). PGTA testing but not ICSi. I’m in Sheffield but gives you some comparison

I did embryo banking but not with PGTA and not with CRGH . Natural modified 3 cycle package 4 top quality banked. Total cost about £13k (5 years ago so would be higher now) PGTA would have added another £5k minimum on that
I gave up with PGTA - is there a specific reason you are doing it? There is a big lawsuit in America at the moment over PGTA and the HFEA in the U.K. doesn’t rank it highly. I didn’t get any euploids age 36 - changed protocol and stopped testing and had twins on the next transfer (after 6 naturally conceived miscarriages)

I spent around £35k on 3 rounds of embryo batching with CRGH. This includes all medications, ICSI, PGTA and 1 FET. My first and only FET worked and I still have one euploid embryo in the freezer.

Thank you @hedgingmybets25 I hadn’t heard of this lawsuit but have spent a long time tonight looking into it and it’s very shocking! It makes me really reconsider PGTA. I was suggested it as I have had multiple failed transfers. However not sure I will use it now.
