Hi @worldwidetravel2017 im currently 31 weeks pregnant after first FET. I took 2 Cyclogest pessaries a day from transfer up until 16 weeks (I know for some people they are asked to take 3) and Lubion injections from getting positive test up until 16 weeks. I have no doubt this helped our little bean along the way! How exciting that you’re going to do be doing a transfer! Do you have a date?

Hey

Super

I will be on lubion and something else
.
Meds arrive soon

I have to down regulate again from this week - .. ( then will get a period in just over a week) .. then the fet

I believe we get given detailed time table

They are guna check my progesterone with a blood test 2 days before transfer
And can give me some then in clinic - apparently it works / absorbed within 36 hrs..

Theyve mentioned progesterone til week 11

We have to pay for one of the types as NHS dont cover it

Consultant mentioned having it til week 11

I will probably pay privately til week 12 ish - placenta takes over before...

Dya mind me asking what your teams reasoning was to have it til week 16 ?
Its a minefield

We are transferring a pgta tested embryo - an euploid
( has 50 - 60 percent chance i believe , of pos preg test )

Im estimating that by end of jul - should know if preg or not

( but we get firm timings this week - its transferred in my next cycle )

Many emotions..

Never had a fet before..

Congrats on being 31 weeks
Thats ace

Any tips for transfer day or day before or day after ?

Ive bought watermelon juice
And beetroot juice

Thank you

I’m not sure why it went to 16 weeks to be honest I was just doing what I was told at that point!! Most people I know who’ve had ivf have gone to 16 weeks or sometimes longer but I have seen on here it can be more like 12. I also took oestrogen until 10 weeks and started blood thinning injections at 24 weeks. So haven’t had long without injecting myself since September! All worth it though obviously 😊 we were private so had to pay for all the ivf meds. We didn’t do any testing of embryos, it wasn’t offered. Sounds like you’ve got a good little frosty waiting to be transferred, how exciting! Personally I took some time out from work around my transfer, I actually got signed off by the doctor. I filled my days with lots of walking and yoga. Stuck to my Mediterranean diet and tried to sleep as much as possible. I did a fair amount if acupuncture too and lots of meditation. I was more of a pomegranate juice girl myself, ate some pineapple core and had the obligatory McDonalds fries straight after transfer. Who knows if any of this is why she stuck but it certainly made me feel better! I’m sending you lots of luck and baby dust ✨

Thanks so much

Yeah - my consultant works out my blood clots too fast & that can cause miscarriage

Im not scared of needles anymore though - may get a tattoo one day !

Hope it’s all going ok. For what it’s worth the fertility nurse called me a baby when I started treatment and I’m about to turn 39! It’s true though, this is the most important thing you’ll do, I wish you so much luck with it all x

I had a fully medicated fet. took lubion injections and Crinone gel. Stopped everything at end of week 8. Was glad to stop them at that stage. Found the lubion a bit irritating compared to other ivf injections. I don’t have a known history of low progesterone but have had a miscarriage in the past. I took the day of the fet off work but worked the next day. Went out for a nice lunch after the fet. Did nothing else special or of note. Was also on aspirin and estrogen tablets. Almost 38 at time of transfer with embryo created at 37.
