Hi has anyone had more success with low grade embryos over high grade embryos?

Thank you in advance.

So keen to know this too. I’m transferring a bc and cc next week and have very little hope after my aa and abs failed.

My clinic told me that the success rate between A, B and C grade embryos is 2ish% so 60% grade A, 58% grade B and 56% grade C. I found that really reassuring! I have however seen much more broken down grading on here, but they said they like to keep it to A/B/C so as not to over complicate 🤷‍♀️

@Btowngirl is that for euploid embryos though? I’ve never heard that high stats for untested embryos

No, mine were untested!

Interesting! I’ve looked at lots of studies and never seen such high success rates for any untested embryos. Which clinic is this? Maybe I need to transfer!

My 4BB didn’t stick, now 36wks with my 3BC :)

Really! I thought they were quite standard but obviously there are lots of additional factors around reason for IVF etc etc. We had both our children via Wessex fertility & do really recommend them to be honest. Good luck to you 🤞

First round of IVF we got 4 embryos (all untested), transferred first one fresh which resulted in y my daughter. Then for baby number 2, we had the 3 frozen embryos left and worked our way down with the quality. First one early miscarriage, 2nd didn’t stick and 3rd is days away from being born, so quality doesn’t necessarily matter. Good luck!

Thanks for all the replies.

I forgot to add some
background info. In 2021 I had a fresh day 3 transfer which resulted in son. Then had 2 frozen embryos transferred, one 5AA resulted in a MMC at 9 weeks and the other 3AA which didn’t implant.

Then in 2024 I went for another egg collection and transferred another fresh day 3 embryo which resulted in my second son and now have 2 low grade embryos in the freezer which are 4bc and 3bb, has anyone had success with these low grade embryos?

Thank you in advance.

I did. My clinic also only grades A/B/C but our fresh A transfer failed and im currently 11 weeks with our C transfer. Good luck with your transfers!

My 3bc blastocyst is now the most perfect and hilarious 7 year old. I remember weeping when I got to the clinic and I only had one blast out of 12 eggs and they said how poor the grade was. I was 39 at the time. Perfect pregnancy and he's absolutely fantastic!
