I've had three transfers and all have been positive but I miscarried all of them between 6-8 weeks.

I've been given blood thinners, lubion and Prednisone. I also had previous miscarriages before IVF.

I'm considering ARGC but it is nowhere near where I live and I would need my embryos transfered. I'm wondering how to ARGC monitor you? What changes were made after transfer? Is this the only clinic who monitor you closely after transfer? Would you have to be in everyday?

Any advice would be great as feeling very lost.

Not personally, but I’ve got two friends who’ve successfully had babies at this clinic and they were in every day for monitoring and drugs would be adapted accordingly. They described it as a bit of a boot camp!

Hi , I’m really sorry about your miscarriages and I know you must be going through a difficult and stressful time : (

i switched to Argc from care fertility. Like yourself I don’t live in London but I like the way I have been treated so far. They monitor you closely before and after transfer.

I had a pgta tested embryo not take earlier this year, I was due for another transfer 5 weeks ago but my bloods came back with super high cytokines and natural killer cells were super high too. Likelihood of having a successful pregnancy was really low. I am currently now on anti-malaria tablets and testing again next week.

care fertility never checked for this but Argc monitor everything , I feel like it’s the best chance for me. I would rather wait with my transfer and make sure I give myself the best chance for a successful transfer.

Please feel free to ask me anything.xx

After egg collection ARGC monitor you every other day up until blood pregnancy test, then if positive close monitoring continues until first scan at 6 weeks. Recurrent miscarriages are often found to need immune treatment, so they would test you for this ahead and then tailor treatment to your results.

Nowhere monitors as closely ARGC but you still need to manage your own treatment and chase things up, as admin/communication can be very hit and miss!

Thank you for your responses @AnnieStar12 @ButterscotchBabe @Wildstar . I don't have notifications set up so been a bit slow.

I have made an appointment as I feel it's my last chance. I'm just worried that they can't do much else for me as I have had prednisone and blood thinners.

Does the monitoring stop if your early scan is ok? I was hoping it would have been longer. Two of the IVF pregnancies had heartbeats but measured a bit behind. However seemed to stop at around 7/8 weeks.

ARGC will continue to monitor you throughout your pregnancy if you wish, a lot of patients discharge themselves at the 12 week mark but they'll happily continue monitoring you for as long as you want.

Good luck with your appointment, they'll be able to explain all the options available to you 🙂

Hi @Md85

So sorry to hear about your losses. I've also had a number of failed transfers / chemical pregnancies before. My last cycle was with ARGC and it is ALOT.

As mentioned there's monitoring up to the transfer and then post transfer. The blood draws are between 6-8am ish in case you were wondering about travelling (do confirm timing with them as it's a bit fuzzy for me).

The bloods are early in the morning so that they can call you in the afternoon to confirm whether to stick to your existing dose of meds or to tweak it (including post transfer). Then you'll need to be able to fill your prescription at a pharmacy fairly regularly (there's some nearby but not always open if you're early so may need to wait around).

I had slightly raised cytokines so they recommended retesting every 6(?) weeks. I suspect it may be more often if others are more raised.

As @ButterscotchBabe mentioned, people opt out of monitoring at 12wks but they'd be happy to continue if you wanted. I was lucky my office is near the clinic so the testing was ok for me while working but I hear of people who rent in London while they're doing treatment from out of town - simlar to doing a cycle in another country.

Unfortunately I had a miscarriage at 8wks but this was the furthest we'd ever gotten. They also added a solution to help us get day 5 embryos which we'd never gotten before either so I've been impressed so far. We have a couple of embryos left so fingers crossed for the next transfer.

Good luck @Md85 ! ❤️

Found this thread while searching about the ARGC. How did it go for people using them? I don't live near London, how did people get on with travel? Did you have to live in London for 6 weeks or so? What are the benefits?
