EMBRYOSCOPE. Worth it or not?

Wondering has anyone paid extra for embryoscope ? Is it worth it ? They claim it can monitor the embryo without disturbing them resulting in a better chance of getting developed embryo. Would appreciate someones opinion on it if you've used it

Our clinic (private-nhs partnership) uses it as standard rather than an add on and they do have very high success rates. I would definitely consider it. The NHS also paid for embryo glue and assisted hatching which implied to me that they thought they were worth it, although the studies vary.

We paid the extra for it. At my clinic they have room for 12 embryos per couple. We had 18 eggs collected, 12 fertilised. The 12 that fertilised were the ones in the embryoscope! Could just be a coincidence but I'm glad we paid the extra as we got a memory stick at the end with a time lapse video and pictures on so that's nice to have

@Whowhatwhere21 thats great news. Oh 12 fertilised eggs. I could only dream. I have pcos so very high amh during my last cycle so my clinic will only stim me with low dose and they didn't want to collect any more than 5 -7 eggs from me. We got 7 . 4 mature. 3 fertilised . 2 blasts.
Do you think the embryoscope improved the liklihood of getting blasts in your cycle or improve quality of those blasts?
We had icsi so with that had good fertilisation rates and we did get 2 blasts but they were terrible quality. For us, we're considering it in the hope of it supposedly producing moreembryos and better quality

@VioIetMoon embryoscope has zero influence on the number or quality of blastocysts. It is just a camera which means their development can be observed without disrupting them.

My clinic uses embryoscope for free as standard but I'd recommend paying. I'm a more information the better person, so it would depend what your views are on that score.

Embryoscope allows timelapse review of key developmental stages, which can provide information in the event of embryo arrest or help to select an embryo for transfer based on cell division patterns and how long certain stages took (whether PGTA tested or not).

I honestly wouldn't like to say. From the info leaflet we were given, it does say that research has suggested better outcomes but we didn't actually look in to anything or do any research ourselves, we just wanted the memory stick more than anything 😅
I also have PCOS but didn't bother to have my AMH checked, I had menopr 150iu for 9 days for stims.
I don't have a previous cycle to compare to but our end results were 18 collected all mature, 12 fertilised all in the scope, 10 made it to blast. However we ended up having a freeze all due to OHSS risk and 7 were suitable for freezing. 3x 5aa, 2x 5ab, 1x 5bb, 1x4aa
