How many euploids did you transfer before success?

My first euploid FET is coming up and I’m beyond anxious for test day (will be testing early as I can’t bear not knowing) in case it doesn’t work.

Your chances are pretty good - I think 60% and up depending on other factors like uterine environment etc. I've had a mixed bag (copying and pasting from another recent post) - I think it's a bit of a numbers game sadly so hang in there if this one doesn't work!

First fresh transfer - BFN (think I might have had mild OHSS as felt awful!)
Second FET - chemical (added Clexane to protocol)
Third FET - Miscarriage and D&C which showed chromosomal issue
PGTA tested the rest of our embryos
Fourth FET with euploid - successful pregnancy

Sibling round:
Fifth FET with euploid - BFN (added extra progesterone)
Sixth FET with euploid - BFN (should say that protocol for these two apart from extra progesterone was exactly the same as the fourth which worked)

No more embryos left, was 44, tried with OE but all aneuploid after three rounds, moved to donor eggs.

Seventh FET with untested embryo - BFN (added embryo glue. Lining thickness wasn't great)
Eighth FET with untested embryo - successful pregnancy (also embryo glue. Did estrogen patches from the start which increased lining thickness and added prednisolone)

@loulamay congrats on your 2 pregnancies from your rounds, its a lot to go through, glad it worked for you!

I'm hopefully going into 2nd euploid FET soon, my progesterone was a bit low on transfer day which my clinic wasn't too worried by as it was fine shortly after transfer, but I want to push for more/earlier progesterone in case that helps - was your tested pre transfer and a bit low too, or did they just up it as a bit of an insurance policy?

@desperatelytryingforno2 hang in there, it's tough times I know! I'd say try not to test too early as you might not get an accurate result but I know its hard to hang on to official test day. And if this one doesn't work, it doesn't spell disaster, even when everything is lined up and it's a euploid there is still unfortunately a reasonable chance of it not working, just the way of this shitty process! But fingers crossed for you

@Orangewillowcould I please ask how low your progesterone was that it was lowish but the clinic didn’t worry too much about it?

Mine was added as a 'let's just throw everything at this' kind of thing. I only had my progesterone levels tested once as part of the DE transfers and the level was normal (pre-transfer) so we will never know if it helped or not!

On the subject of lining though, I do think that might have played a part in the unsuccessful transfer because there are definite stats on that. I don't think I absorb estrogen very well which is why the patches were more successful.

@desperatelytryingforno2 it was 18 the day before transfer and they wanted 50, they put me on injections from the day before transfer and then it was 39 around transfer and 125 2 or 3 days later, i kept uo with the injections all through to the pregnancy test.

After my FET didn't work I discussed this with my Dr and he said they're more worried about progesterone in the later part of the TWW and wasn't concerned about it as being a significant factor in why it didn't work.

Thanks @loulamay I've had lots of lining issues and mine was on thinner side for my transfer (6.8, they were aiming for 7 but happy to go ahead with such a small difference). Going to push for stims/a different protocol as the oestrogen tablets just don't seem to work for me, with patches and pessaries was better, but still not great! I don't think I'm ever going to get a great lining as I have a history of scarring but hoping to hit over 7 next time

Firstly, while I know that the wait can be agonising, I would strongly urge you to wait until the testing date specified by the clinic. I just about held out until first thing on the testing date!
We were extremely fortunate to be successful with our first embryo transfer with donor eggs and our perfect baby girl is now nearly 15-weeks-old.
Our first attempt had to be halted due to a sonographer finding something concerning on a routine scan during treatment, which turned out to be an oddly positioned extra-uterine fibroid, but they wanted it checked out by MRI scan before continuing in case it was something more sinister. I applied the patches for a couple of weeks before the transfer. My clinic did a scan the day before egg thawing and embryo creation to check the thickness of my uterine lining, which was very good, and then told me to commence progesterone pessaries which I used until about 13 weeks pregnant. They also performed a blood test to check my levels the day before transfer in case I needed a booster shot, which I didn't. I found the clinic very thorough, kind and professional and we had a great experience.
Best of luck, I have my fingers crossed for you!
