I had an interview and got offered the job whist during my stims/ scans a few weeks ago….. very stressful but it’s at the same place I work just a diff/permanent role so policy etc will be the same

I had an interview and got the job whilst on the waiting list for IVF (had already tried Clomid and had a HSG at that point). I had first IVF clinic appointment 2 weeks after starting new role, started injections 2 months after that.
I finally had a baby after more than 4 years in my new role. Lots of failed IVF unfortunately but glad I had moved jobs at least.

I have, twice. First time I informed my boss who headhunted me that I was doing it, he was OK. Second time was for my sanity. I was desperately unhappy so while I took risk of losing benefit of job security, I jumped anyway and it was the right decision.

Do it! Infertility makes you feel so stuck in limbo, I feel it’s really important to be able to move on in other parts of your life. I’d recommend having an alternative year planned for if your first cycle doesn’t work. It massively helped me. Best of luck 🤞

I started a degree apprenticeship then 3 months later had IVF and gave birth to our son at the end of my first year of the course. It def felt busy but it helped my mind not to obsess over the IVF. Good luck!

I ended up having to quit my labouring job because when trying for my son, ivf took over my entire life, I had scans almost daily due to not having regular ovulation, or not responding enough to the meds, or responding too well, then had cycled cancelled at last minute and then having to start all over again. Ivf just wasnt working for us and we spent 14months giving it everything and there were no light duties technically so to speak at my job so had to take more time off for egg retrieval and then again for transfer and our clinic is over 2hrs away so usually missed full days off work and the bosses were getting a bit cranky. Hubby and I discussed that he made enough money to support our family on his Income and that I was going to be a stay at home mum anyway as discussed when my husband asked for another baby so we just decided to bring that plan forward. The next cycle and first transfer from that stim cycle ended up working and he has just turned 4 yr old and we also got a little girl from that cycle , she is 2yrs old.
