Please reassure me or give me tips - about to go for first euploid FET and very nervous

Please someone reassure me about FETs or just hit me with your best tips because I’m spiraling a little. I’m about to go into my first FET with a euploid, previously I’ve had a miscarriage from an untested fresh transfer. All I read online is how many FETs fail, how despite the stats being 90% chance of it working within the first 3 FETs with a euploid so many people have failures…

I’ll take literally anything — what worked for you, what didn’t, diet stuff, how to stay sane, stats, mindset tricks, rituals, full moon dances, whatever. I’m all ears.

Quick backstory: unexplained infertility, I’m 30, one child born in 2022 (conceived naturally, vaginal delivery), one miscarriage mid-2024 from an untested fresh transfer. We’ve got 10 euploids on ice but don’t want to waste any of them.

Testing-wise: sperm stuff, DNA frag, hycosy, AMH, thyroid (on levothyroxine), uterine microbiome, progesterone levels, a million hormone panels and scans — I’m basically a medical mystery at this point.

Just looking for hope or something practical to hang onto right now.

Forget anecdotal accounts of euploid failure - it is more likely to work than not, based on full stats. Particularly over successive transfers. You have an excellent chance.

Everyone deserves support but it could come across as insensitive to some to be so worried as a 30 year old with 10 euploids banked and proven relatively recent live birth fertility. Many are holding on to hope with far less in their arsenal.

If you’re in the UK your fertility clinic should have offered you counselling when you started treatment, many clinics will be able to connect you with a specialist counsellor at any stage of treatment. If your clinic can’t help you could use the British Infertility Counselling Association website instead to find someone.

Your very lucky to have 10 genetically healthy embryos on ice. What are you worried about the most going into a FET? There is a high chance of success, if nothing was found to have any problems. If your wanting to do a transfer soonish your best bet is to not change anything too drastically, just make sure your moving your body for good blood flow, eat well, cut down or cut out alcohol, smoking and vaping. Get on some great prenatals, but in all honestly my successful transfers were the ones that I kept my body in its natural condition, I didn't push my body too hard, didn't go on any fad diets or strict eating routines. I did limit caffeine and sugar. I already don't drink, I don't smoke and I don't vape or do recreational drugs. Also kept my stress levels down as much as possible.

I guess what I’m most worried about is that because I didn’t struggle to make euploids in the lab, I had probably made a euploid embryo in my 24 months of trying naturally (I have regular periods and ovulate, tried naturally for 2 years). None of those embryos stuck (as I didn’t have any positives). So is my uterus the problem, and does that mean we’re putting good embryos into a problematic uterus?

@hopefullyhpfl if your first fet doesn’t work you have 9 more embryos to try and I’m sure your clinic will look at additional investigations if this is the case. I didn’t do anything special for my fet except take what the clinic told me to take and I stopped drinking the month before. There is no point in speculating about all the things that could be wrong. Hard not to I know. I never got an answer about my infertility.

I wouldn't be concerned there is something wrong with your uterus, the only thing now is moving forward. If you transfer a couple of embryos and after 3 or so and they don't work then you will be able to investigate further. Lots of woman are unexplained infertility but have no issues at all with getting pregnant via ivf so hopefully this is also you. Your not going to know the outcome unless you do a transfer.

We have a perfect 13-week-old baby girl conceived via IVF. I conceived by a fresh embryo transfer and was extremely anxious about the transfer itself so I completely understand your concerns.
The doctor at our fertility clinic reassured me that I did not need to rest following the transfer, that walking and moving around as normal would not dislodge the embryo and the only things he said should be avoided were saunas and hot baths. Of course I was still a bundle of nerves in the two weeks before I was due to take the pregnancy test, but I tried to go on as normal. Immediately following the transfer I forced myself to go for tea and cake with my friend, rather than my initial instinct which was to head home and lie in bed for a couple of days!
Best of luck.

Hi OP @hopefullyhpfl how did your transfer go? I have a similar story and a failed euploid FET and preparing for the next one. Thanks
