What scans are normally done in the lead up to a natural FET?

I’m abroad at the moment and my clinic has agreed that we can do a FET this month even though the earliest I can come for a scan is Day 12 of my cycle.

I know normally there’s scans on day 1-2 and days 7-9 of the cycle… these will essentially be skipped. Can something be overlooked? What do they usually look for? Is there a risk to doing a natural FET without those scans?

I just had scans from day 10, generally every couple of days. They looked for a dominant follicle developing and my lining too. Then once a dominant follicle got to 14mm I took ovulation tests twice a day and informed them when it peaked, they booked my transfer for 6 days after the peak since the peak is usually the day before ovulation. I also had a progesterone test on transfer day and it was high enough not to need any progesterone supplements. Worked for me, now 21 weeks pregnant. Each clinic and even within the same clinic can do things differently though. From day 12 could work, that's when I often first went in for my IUI ovulation tracking scans and didn't tend to miss anything. I suppose the only risk is if you ovulate early in general or that particular month. Good luck! 😊

I’ve had 2 natural modified FETs, first scan day 8/9 then every day or every other day until they tell me to do trigger shot. I think on one of them I did the trigger day 11 and the other on day 12. I’ve also had medicated FET but transfer day hasn’t been much different (I think day 16/17 each time).
