Hi, been trying for 8 months. Had a full fertility work up, hycosy all good, AMH 6.5 FSH 17.2 so diminshed ovarian reserve. Had my DD 2.5 years ago, aware I am lucky but also desperate to have another.

Don't want to go down IVF as if it failed I know mentally/emotionally I would struggle with that.

I have regular cycles/positive OPKs, is there any chance of natural conception?!

Hey, I'm going through similar but much lower AMH of 2.6. I'm doing a private round of Letrozole, monitoring scan and trigger shot this cycle. My consultant said that with my AMH IVF was a waste of money. I'm going to give it 3 goes and then probably give up as it's been over 2 years. I'm pretty sure that your AMH makes you a better contender for IVF but totally get how you feel about the emotional toll if it doesn't work. In a way it was a relief for me to be told not to bother and I appreciated the honesty as it's not cheap! Could you try a medical cycle as it's much cheaper and your tubes are clear? The success rates aren't great but it's something to try!

How old are you?

Your levels don't in themselves rule you out of natural conception. My sister had an equivalent FSH when she successfully conceived at 39 (aged 40 by live birth). Because of the elevated FSH she had started to double ovulate every cycle.

I'll be 36 next month, it's nice to hear a positive story.

Do you have regular cycles/ovulation? I was under the impression this was more for people with irregular cycles etc, but I obviously know so little!

Yes I do. The consultant thought it was worth a try just to give things a boost. Who knows if it'll work but I'm grateful to have some options 😊

Hi, I’m 37 and had an AMH of 4.2 last July. My FSH was 10 something, so slightly lower than yours. I tried a cycle of IVF in September but I didn’t respond to the stims. I’ve since caught naturally and am 16 weeks. I wouldn’t give up hope it took us 12 months. Have you had your progesterone tested? It might be worth asking for that to check that you do actually ovulate.
