FERTILYSIS tests - anyone used them?

What was your experience? I'm thinking of going for both Microbiome analysis and Reproductive Immunology testing ahead of my frozen transfer this spring but it's costly so wanted to hear from anyone who has used them before...

Hi @wtbm, I used the Fertilysis microbiome test via my clinic. I had initially done the Daye microbiome test which you can buy online and is much cheaper, and the results said I had less than 1% lactobacillus (which was terrible). My clinic then wanted me to do the Fertilysis test as it’s much more detailed and was done in the clinic rather than by myself.
The results of my first one again confirmed very poor lactobacillus, although it showed I did have some but it was only one strain, rather than lots of different strains, with a less than 5% chance of pregnancy. Having already done two FETs I was really devastated by this, although my ivf consultant did advise taking that percentage with a pinch of salt as he believes there’s not quite enough evidence yet for such a specific percentage.
I then put loads of effort into taking probiotics and eating fermented food - made my own fermented veg etc, and after 2 months I had my second Fertilysis test and the results had improved up to ‘Good’, which I’m super happy about! I’d say it’s definitely worth doing a microbiome test, but you could do a cheaper one such as Daye. The Fertilysis test gave much more detail such as a breakdown of specific types of lactobacillus etc, rather than the Daye test just had it as one group. The Fertilysis also included two tests within the price, a couple months apart, so I at least didn’t have to pay twice for that.
I hope this helps! And good luck with your FET!

@Sunnydaysahead1 thank you!! I didn't know about the Daye tests - seems like a good place to start and if it flags any issues I can do a more detailed one
