PCOS fertility help - where to start?

Hi all,
I’m 32, TTC#2 and have been diagnosed with PCOS.
Back story is I sought initial tests from GP after it 12 months of trying with no luck and they revealed my testosterone levels are high, which fits with my other symptoms - some facial hair, long periods, sometimes irregular cycles, and now infertility.
My question is, what should I do next? The GP is referring us to infertility (aware we don’t qualify for IVF/IUI due to already having one child) but there’s a long wait for that - 6 or 12 months.
My understanding is that clomid or other ovulation inducing drugs are the first port of call for PCOS when looking to get pregnant. But the private fertility clinic nearest to me has already told me that’s not an option with them - they only offer ovulation induction when doing IVF or IUI.
Should I try to see a private gynaecologist to get a metformin prescription whilst waiting for NHS fertility help?
Or pursue a different private fertility clinic?
Sorry, so many questions, feel a little bewildered and unclear where’s best to begin.
Thanks in advance x

Hi @HopefulForBabyTwo I’ve just recently been diagnosed with pcos. I’m TTC no.1, but have had 2 MCs. I’m under a nhs recurrent miscarriage clinic who diagnosed the pcos. And straight away been put on Metformin. The consultant said it should help regulate periods/ovulation & to continue it in pregnancy as it can help against miscarriage. I believe it is the first port of call treatment for pcos, so might be worth trying a different fertility clinic or route to see if they can prescribe?
