Expectations for second FET after failure

Please bear with me in this post as it is coming from a place or despair/confusion

We found out today our FET of a 5AB embryo had failed. We have 5 blastocysts left. I'm 35 and partner is 39. We are classed as unexplained infertility, although my ovarian reserve is low. (For this reason, I will not do another full IVF cycle). I do suspect I have endometriosis as I have painful ovulation.

We are extremely lucky that we have 3yo dd who was conceived naturally the month after our fresh failed. I had a miscarriage at 5.5 weeks this year. No other pregnancies.

Our embryo transfer was extremely difficult- it took an hour due to scar tissue on my cervix following previous c section, so I am terrified about future transfers. I plan to discuss this with the clinic.

My question is for those who have had failed FETs, did you do anything differently on the second FET? When would you look at further testing? My gut feeling was to look at ERA/EMMA/ALICE tests if next transfer fails. I am wondering if we have implantation issues because we are 'unexplained'.

Thank you for reading

@Rosieposy89 Completely understand wanting to explore options. What I would say is it can be dependent on the embryo if untested. I had mine collected at 37/38 and and after the 3rd FET (4 embryos transferred overall) am currently pregnant. I didn't really change much between FETs but was already on a IVF diet; high protein/low carbs, probiotics, Beetroot juice, bone broth, lots of walking to increase blood flow

I had a 5AB and 5BA have a negative result

Then a double 5BC and 5BB and one of them stuck.

Think under 35; 1 in 2 or 3 embryos tend to be normal. As you get older it's more like 1 in 4 embryos. So it could just be that the one you put in was abnormal on this occasion

@Rosieposy89 I have had 2 failed FETs. I have a 2 year old from that same batch of embryos. Before my next FET I will have a hysteroscopy to have a look at the inside of my uterus. They are particularly looking out for any issues with the internal c-section scar from my previous birth. If there is anything the re that can be fixed they will do so (during the same procedure, under sedation). They said if there is a scar that can be smoothed a bit they will do that and they will also do an endometrial scratch while they are at it. They said the evidence in favour of the scratch is not conclusive but if doing hysteroscopy anyway think it’s worth a try.
They have also recommended high dose vitamin D.
I have done a microbiome test and taking probiotics as result said microbiome was depleted. I used Daye although there are others.
